Apparently the voters aren’t the only ones who have lost interest in the project. Still waiting 19 hours for a new thread.

If Simmons can come in 4th in this poll, Mitchell has to be added to the next one.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.

What accounts for a 27% decline?

More likely some people that wouldn't stop complaining about Kyrie not placing finally got their wish and are fulfilled.

Add Horford to poll.
Kat has the talent of a top 10 player, but I was really disappointed in his playoff performance, even as he had a pretty solid team around him. He’s in my top 25, I just kinda think he sucks in an intangible way

Yes, and some of us might add him before Simmons.

Please, I didn't say add Ingles, I said add Mitchell. Put him on the list and he'll get more votes then Simmons.

If someone else were to start it, add horford (adding my vote here) as that is 7 for horford and 5 for mitchell for the net poll

I will say, if people are so sure about Horford > Kyrie (lol I doubt it), then I officially vote to add him to the list.

Re: RealGM Top 25 Player Poll-#17 2018-19
Jimmy Butler lol
He isnt among the 10 "best basketball players" in the NBA. There are way more than 9 people better at basketball than Jimmy Butler. Advanced statistics have context to each of them and need to be measured against statistics that invalidate your stance. In addition, bias needs to be analyzed for each statistic, as well as how much it determines how "good" a player is.
This is how statistics are used in the real world; pulling statistics that support the hypothesis, while ignoring the rest isn't how stats are used.
Furthermore, a design that intends to EXCLUSIVELY support a stance without even attempting to analyze related and unrelated statistics which could reveal bias would be disregarded as a noncredible study/analysis of statistics. This is the equivelant of how this board uses statistics to determine how good a player is.
Like it or not, its an objective fact that when compared to how statistics are used to support a stance in the real world, posters on this board are using statistics incorrectly and with complete total bias and high probability of error.
Which gets you players like Jimmy Butler in the top 10, and people clamoring about how the advanced stats prove it.
None of it is fool proof. But the safest and easiest way to determine the top 10, or top 25, is put in the time, watch the players with your eyes, and make a list of who the 25 best players are. Thats it. Its all opinion because advanced metrics do not measure skill.
The use of advance statistics on these boards is complete and utter nonsense, and as someone who has worked in research and statistics, I find it hard to take seriously, especially when people live by it.

Hell no before Horford. Horford is better than both Mitchell and Beal.

Elaborate then - what about advanced stats is biased towards Butler? If you have him clearly outside of the top 10, why do you believe that is the case and what do you think advanced stats are missing when it comes to his performance? Seems like the main argument made by a lot of people here is "people are overusing advanced stats" without a valid counterargument.
I don't buy the eye test argument at all from people on message boards, especially when it isn't backed up by any observation or reasoning and is just "I think player X is better because eye test". We have untrained eyes, usually miss what's going on off-ball, can only watch a small subset of games, and are subject to all sorts of human biases. I think "eye test" to most people really means "collective wisdom of fans and media", which is based largely on player marketability/reputation, raw stats and flashy style of play (e.g. Kyrie). Advanced stats, while not perfect and certainly must be used in proper context, are a way more objective measure of rating player performance.
