Wins are the only stat that matters. Accepting the above, this means the Magic was 20-37 with Vučević.

So a 20% win rate without compared to a 35% win rate with. That equates to the team being a full 75% better with Vučević on the court.

The very worst offensive team last year averaged 98.8 ppg: the "Kings". Indeed 28 of 30 teams averaged more than 100 ppg: the Magic was at 103.5, which was 25th place.

The league average was 106.3 ppg, and the Warriors led the league at 113.5 ppg.

Flipping this, the best two defensive teams still gave up 99.8 ppg: Utah and San Antonio. Thus 28/30 teams gave up more than 100 ppg.

Without Vuc 105.6 ppg 25 games

This is a fascinating stat, given that Biyombo had horrible +/- numbers for the team. I really cannot see how A leads to B in this.

It’s just raw ppg it doesn’t really mean anything. Just pointing out once again one of BMPs rock solid arguments.

Gordon, Fournier, Vučević, Ross, and Isaac all were out.

Last season, Jonathon Simmons played the most games: logging 69. No Magician started more than 59 games last season.

The team was horrible after the Allstar break because there was a core lack of talent.

Afflalo started 3 games. Speights started 3 games. Iwundu started 12 games. Heck even Purvis started 2 games and Artis 1. These are not stats a wining club would post.

There was also the sharp decline of our best offensive players (Payton, Fournier, and Vuc) partway through the season. I can’t point to numbers, but Payton and Vuc fell off a cliff, and Fournier was lacking explosion. I think Payton stopped defending (after drawing no complaints earlier i the year) and he was producing single-digit scoring and assist totals (whereas he usually wracks up double-digits in both). Vuc, apparently, hasn’t been quite right for a while now, but it seems his defense dipped, and his rebounding definitely dropped. Fournier merely wasn’t as effective as he was to start the season, where he was shooting very well.
Remember when Kobe elbowed Jameer in the chin so hard Jameer was knocked down and sent skidding across the floor?

Not fan of mocking old posts but some posts in the first page are quite laughable but we all in the same ship right now so no need to laugh at anyone

This.

Weren't we on pace to make 41 wins early in the season ?

Difficult to go over without Vuc.

Looks like the Magic maintained this 41-win pace!
