Gotta say, I'm the tiniest bit worried about the knees. Hope it's nothing, but tendinitis from college to summer league to not being cleared for 5 on 5 yet ain't great. Could just be precautionary, etc, but if I remember right it was also one of the reasons he dropped in the draft. I guess at this point if he is playing enough for it to be an issue, that's a good thing.

He's close to 100% in both knees and he's putting in SERIOUS work.

Ever since the dramas he hasn't put a foot wrong and we should be very excited about his future.

We haven't had someone this long and athletic who can actually play in a long time.

He’s never looked young Javale McGee spacey to me - on court - just like someone who needs coaching and reps to build good defensive habits.

A lot of that to me is gravy. He's gonna have at least four other players, if he grows into a starting role, who are going to want a fair amount of usage. He can pass and is a vacuum cleaner around the basket. Not needing the ball to be effective is a feature, not a bug.

Yeah, I don't know.. the league has gone from wanting "stretch 4s" to liking centers who can shoot from the perimeter, too.. The value of guys like Drummond, Capela, and Gobert isn't clear right now..

Seems like one of the best teams in the league just valued Capela pretty highly. (And Gobert and Drummond are paid significantly more. Drummond already with two AS appearances and Gobert just DPotY, along with 3-All-NBA team listings so far.)

Indeed. If Robert Williams gets mentioned favorably with the likes of Gobert, the Cs may not win less than 60 games in a season before 2030.

Think swapping Horford for Drummond, or Towns. There’s no prototypical center right now - who’s trading for Hassan Whiteside?

In 2-3 years I think his floor in impact will be Capela. If he develops a reliable mid-range jumper and improves his already solid passing, we got a gem

I'm not sure the kid has the mental capacity to play in an advanced offensive system. Something like the old nuggets offense is where he would thrive. He needs to just run around wild out there and do his thing with a simplified offense, for now.

From his old teammates to Jay Laranaga, we've heard testimonials as to how quickly he learns new stuff on the court. I don't know what you're basing your slam of him on.

How is Williams offensively limited?

His shot needs some work but IMO has potential. He can pass well and is good at finishing off anything near the basket, however.
