OT: Hurricane Florence
Any folks in here in the Carolinas? If so, please be safe and if your in the direct path get out of there. With it being a 4 and intensifying more it could possibly be upgraded to a 5 in the next day. The DMV is also projected to get hit with 6-10 inches of rain.
Be safe all!!!
Be safe all!!!

I'm in Virginia Beach; don't expect to be hit too hard with the winds (projecting max 60, more likely 40s). Just worried about the flooding and how long the power outage is going to be.

Where is Ji? I know snow is his specialty, but this sounds like a big weather event.

Re: OT: Hurricane Florence
I've lived here all my life, so I know the local news likes to hype things up but they had people out in Old Town and Annapolis as part of their Storm Team. I couldn't believe it, the storm is a legit 4 days out and they're unfairly causing people to panic and thinking we're gonna get hammered. That Doug guy from Channel 4 posted a video and said we might get 2 inches of rain between Saturday and Tuesday. So a similar weekend like the one we just had.

Don't believe he got run-off, he had a name-change and just got deflated by Wiz MGMT, correct me if I'm wrong scribes of the board.

Yeah, as far as I know. Of course, he did spread bad luck to the Wiz and cause several of their losses.

It was that insufferable poster from Chicago that gut run off. Good riddance to him. Right?
Seriously, WizStorm stay safe. At one point, they were saying the winds would be higher than what you said.

Ji's welcome back any time, as far as I'm concerned. His so called jinx factor was established when I got here, but I never really saw it in action, so I think it's a myth. I like his weather reports, and of course we see pretty eye to eye on TerdEGgo.
Good luck to board members and everyone in the path of the storm

fake news at its best!!
the looters are hoping they leave town early. shame that news has become nothing more than histrionics over the past 30 years. Bunch of crap!
Then wen we get alternative voices...even crazies on the left and right(not mentioning any names) ...everyone works to shut them up as shoon as they get any traction. I'm sicka nd tired of the eltites controlling the news and therefore the narrative. It's all panic and fear mongering. until they get a guy in office who does everything they want...then its roses and sunshine...even when the economy is at its worst since 1930.
Joke!
Anyhow, wizstorm and rafeal. Stay safe on the coast!!
I'll be joining you guys gradually for the winters and then permanently. moving to the southern east coast at some point. I'm going to build a place 15 feet in the air with a lift to raise the boat and the car to elevation. 3" floor to ceiling glass. 2 generators. canoes and dingy's.
And I will be riding out every thing mother nature can throw at me! Captain Dan style.

like i said, its a full rebuild.
