I absolutely loathe Clippers broadcasts, and am consistently pissed when I get "blacked-out" because of how insufferable it is sitting through the games. Congratulations on his long and successful career, but from a viewership perspective, this is a positive for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Thanks for sharing, but you accidentally typed "viewership" instead of "personal". To each his own, but I've never understood the hate our guys get when there are so many blatant and way more obnoxious homers out there. Is it just the catchphrases or what?

It's sad to see Ralph go, but it seems like the right time for this move. Glad he'll have an entire season to be celebrated, he definitely deserves it. As someone who's only listened to him and Mike Smith (and recently Bowen), it will be nice to see Ralph joined by some other voices from the past.

And you never know, should we happen to make some sort of final in the not so distant future, and Ralph is still willing and able, maybe we could get him on to call a quarter or something. And there better be plans for a statue at the new arena.

Anyone who thinks Ralph is a homer is a moron. There's a difference between homer and biased. Ralph may be biased at times but he's one of the most objective PBP announcers in the league. As for you Laker fans who love to bash him, the Lakers have been a joke in the past 5 years and they deserved getting made fun of. Grow a thicker skin, dumbasses.

Sad day for Clipper fans. Ralph was and is one of the best (and for many years was flat out the best) things about the Clips. Haters gonna hate; Ralph is great. Oh me oh my!

I have always found the Clippers broadcasts to be among the most aggravating to watch due to the the loud ("boisterous", if you want to be generous) manner in which they are. The opposing team will do something spectacular, and you get relatively close to nothing but crickets, which is hilariously contrasted by the over-emphatic excitement over sometimes menial plays (in comparison). There is also little to no in-depth basketball talk throughout the broadcast, but in fairness, I am spoiled with Jim Peterson, so I guess that is not fully fair.

I get why home team fans would like him, but I have never liked the Clippers broadcast, which is unfortunate given that I literally live in San Diego. I still watch a lot of Clippers games, but I generally just watch the opposing broadcast through streaming, or just turn it low and do work that I have with it floating in the background.

What the **** are you even talking about? His former partner Mike Smith would always inform the audience with random facts and stories about opposing players. He would tell you the strengths and weaknesses of the other team. If you want to talk about a broadcast team that stays quiet after a good play by the opposing team, try the Celtics, Kings, Bulls, or Cavs crew.
