If Gallinari could be bought out, and resigned at a vet min deal, I'd be willing to part with ....

... Gary Clark and Nene.

I thought "hell no" was putting it politely.

I guess I just like the idea of getting one other starting forward.

Am I the only one that think if knights healthy he will be a great 4th guard?

He can catch and shoot from 3 and he isn’t that far removed from being what could have been really a decent backup pg

Both he and Criss could end up being really good for us if things work out.

Right now anything that Knight or Criss give the Rockets is gravy. My own best case scenario for both is that they contribute some positive minutes in the regular season. It's too early to tell if either one will be an impact for the playoff roster.

If people opinions of his value are anything close to right then D'angelo Russell is a guy that should be gone after. Kept as a rfa and made into a piece w value so knight can go in a trade

So Minny would rather take Saric and Covington over 4x first round picks? What a backwards of an organization.

I'm really annoyed by this. I can't believe all it took was Covington, Saric and a 2nd rounder. Our package was way better. I hope the Timberpups never make the playoffs in the next decade. :banghead:

MIN’s been pretty happy with Covington and Saric. It’s hard to say the HOU offer was way better when we don’t know the protections on the picks.

I was curious what pick(s) you feel HOU could offer for a Knight - Taj swap?

This year, Taj can provide actual production as a threat down low, a rebounder, and a good switching defender. Last year, Taj was 6th in FG% (57.7%, 11th in ORB (194), and healthy (14th in minutes). Next year it erases Knight’s money since Taj is an expiring. If you wanted him back, I’m sure Morey could talk him into a good deal. It seems to me he is more valuable to HOU than MIN, who could make more room for Saric.

Thibs needs to make the playoffs to keep his job, so if you have ideas that could make it a three-teamer that would use the picks to give MIN production this year (PG upgrade of Teague perhaps?), I’d love to hear your ideas on that too.

I like Taj Gibson and considering that the Rockets have been one of the worst rebounding teams, they could definitely use his talent. However, considering that Gibson will be a 1-year rental and that the Rockets also have a dire bench and playmaking situation, I think it would make more sense for the Rockets to test out Knight's knee before trading him.

Gibson obviously has more value than Knight and the difference in value is probably worth a low 1st round pick or a high 2nd rounder. But Gibson's 1-year deal certainly won't fix all the problems the Rockets have and put them over the Warriors. So while he's a good player, a 1-year rental probably doesn't make too much sense. Also, I personally don't think this deal would make much sense from Minny's perspective as well.

How many picks would you be willing to give to get Ariza back?
