Matt Patricia leaves to coach the Lions.

Ugh. I am sure Jets fans are going to think they are SB bound now but seriously......Matt Patricia...:banghead:

Oh it’s the standard Jete fan. That was a pathetic performance last night by the Lions. Holy cow. Any NFL team, even the Browns would have smoked the Lions last night.

Sox are guaranteed a WC game spot. With the Spankees getting pounded, the division is pretty much a given. Add in Manea in Oakland being done for the year, the ALCS is looking more and more viable. Still have massive BP issues but at least that may not rear its head until mid October.

10 game lead. When should we expect that Red Sox collapse again?

When Mookie becomes a below average hitter because he can't go the other way. All the good feelings are gone because they lost 2 games to the Astros.

I do agree that the bullpen has issues, but it's the same for all top teams. The Red Sox have lit up the Yankees/Astros/Indians bullpens, hell as a team they have something like an .890 OPS against relievers. I'd take Kimbrel over Osuna/Hand/Chapman.

They were looking bad. Thats undeniable. They still aren’t right offensively. HRs are waaaaaay down. The Spankees just couldn’t take advantage. Hell, they may lose the number one WC slot. All they needed to do is what they did earlier in the season when the Sox jumped out, then 2 weeks later it was tied. So there was evidence from this season of the same thing happening, except the Spanks couldn’t do what they needed to like the A’s are doing.

Helluva game by the Jags today, I had a bad feeling on this one, it was their revenge game and it was one of the few on the schedule that looked like a potential loss. Jags looked pretty sharp and hungry. Jags have developed a very good team again under Coughlin.

Florida heat is Brady's kryptonite btw......I always am iffy on games in Miami too.

Next up, Matt Patricia's Lions. This should be fun. 8-)

edit:

Got to give a shout out to Ryan Fitzpatrick for lighting it up in two games.

And when you upset the Eagles, you deserve to look like a rock star after the game.

Missed the Pats game, which isn't such a bad thing. I was on my way home after 7pm and looked into a house that had the game on. I didn't see the score but saw Brady's expression sitting on the bench and knew we were losing based on that. By the time I got home, it was over.

Ive heard a whisper that Pats are about to land Josh Gordon for a 4th round pick unless the offer gets topped in before 4, for those that care.

Um how do I feel about this. I don't know. Were his problems all substance abuse then and now? I mean he didn't beat or rape anyone I hope.

If it works out he is one major talent though.

Got him for a conditional 5th, if he isnt active for 10 games the Pats get a Browns late pick back. He has a ton of issues, but his talent is undeniable. I'm just thinking of the offense once full strength.

Michel/White/Gordon/Edelman/Dorsett/Gronk/Hollister as Brady's weapons is pretty damn impressive. NEED Cannon to get and stay healthy though, Waddle is pretty crappy.

I could be incorrect but I think his issues are limited to substance abuse. DUIs and failed drug tests as far as I understand it.

I think you are right too, I am willing to give a substance absuser a chance. Pats won't put up with crap and if this works out the offense will be amazing.

Getting Josh Gordon is a phenomenal move. It's for a late draft pick and this guy has the talent to be a top 5-10 WR in the league. If it doesn't work, they just cut him.

You never know, could be Randy Moss 2.0

It’s a Hail Mary move that reeks of desperation. Odd after a single loss
