You never know, could be Randy Moss 2.0

It’s a Hail Mary move that reeks of desperation. Odd after a single loss

You don't think it will help Gronk/Julian?

He would help if he plays. Dude is a mess with serious problems. It’s Vin Baker all over again. He may never play a game for New England

Not a Pats fan but watch a lot of the games, including the entire Jags game. Here's my somewhat unbiased take that means absolutely nothing:

Pats have two major concerns as I saw it. They have no one that can really take the top off the defense and their corners are bad. Jags just attacked whoever the weak CB matchup was all day. Offensively, if you have to line Gronk up against a lockdown corner you're gonna have a bad time. The Jags were doubling him all game. Edelman is getting older and not all that great in my eyes and there's no one to make defenses respect the outside. Dorsett has speed but he's 5'10". He's not the deep threat you're looking for. JG is under 1 million dollars and you get a pick swap back if he doesn't play ten games, a 7th for a 5th. The fact is he has elite speed, is 6'3" ,and might pan out, well it's the ultimate low cost lotto ticket imo.

He could still catch as of last year:

And he can still catch this year:

Maybe he only plays a few games and relapses. Maybe his season is mired in injury all year. But it fits a need for you with minimal risk.

Why would he never play a game? He just played week one, then had a “mystery” hammy. Dude was done with Cleveland and now is in a much better situation with much better structure. Nobody knows what will or won’t happen, but if he is focused and ready...he’s a game changer. He is an elite talent at WR. Not just a burner. Not just a possession guy. He’s basically everything.

This isn’t a washed up Vin Baker. Dude is 27, not 30. Also, he hasn’t had injuries. Now to find a safety..

He didn’t have a mystery hammy, he relapsed dude. He’s not focused and ready, he has serious substance abuse issues. He flat out said he’s never played a game sober.

The Browns said it was a hammy, although an MRI showed no damage. You are going off of a GQ article and/or parroting Felger. What you said is true, but he took time away this offseason to work on his metal health. Cleveland is a disaster from ownership on down. BB wouldn’t trade Jimmy there. What does that tell you?

Anyways, he could flame out, he could be a star. You do this trade every day, all day long whenever it shows itself. I donkt care if they had AB, ODB and Gronk. I’d still make this trade.

Well, Gordon is on my FF team, so I for one hope it works out. When focused, he's a stud WR.

Well I can’t parrot felger because TSH doesn’t come in out here in western mass. The browns own medical staff said he showed signs of relapsing and the GQ article is a direct quote from Gordon himself. You can bury your head in the sand if you want but I think it’s irresponsible and selfish for the pats to make this move.

Why though? And sorry Darth I don't think Gordon is going to put up big fantasy numbers - this year. I wouldn't be surprised if Gordon doesn't put up even modest numbers. Y'all's playbook is notoriously hard to learn or so that's what the media says, and he's gonna take some time to get up to speed. However, even if he is used mainly as a decoy and opens the middle of the field up it's a win. If he keeps his **** together then coming into camp next year you have a stud wr for all of 19-20.

He’s not going to keep his **** together. The man shouldn’t be playing football at all. He needs serious professional help before he winds up dead.

I am more curious if he can learn and grasp the playbook. Hell even Reggie Wayne said the Pats playbook was overly complicated lol.

Been reading up on Gordon and he sounds pretty minor with troubles compared to say Jabari freaking dumb azzz loser Bird......

Josh Gordon sounds like a pot and booze addict. Maybe some painkillers now and then and some mental issues. But he doesn't sound as bad as the uproar I have seen with many people over him.

I hope this works out, I really really do.

Bill Belichick will go down as the GOAT of all time GOATS in any sport if he can manage to get Josh Gordon to buy into the "Patriot Way" and help win a Super Bowl.

Exactly. Plus Reggie was at the end and didn't care to learn. I think he will be effective.

Cleveland can't even kick FGs and extra points!!! What happened to them yesterday in New Orleans would make me literally go INSANE if I was a Browns fan.

Addiction is no joke, he needs help. Not another franchise to enable him because of his god given talents.

I have a glass half full approach here lol.

As for Reggie, yeah he was ready to retire but I think he was telling the truth a tiny bit about how tough the Pats can be to learn and he wasn't up for it anymore so he pocketed some of Kraft's money and left lol.

While I agree with you that he needs help HC. I think football is one way he can at least make some money, have some structure, and have access to the best professionals. Unfortunately the US isn't always altruisitc, and we treat people who are rich and have mental issues and addiction issues a lot better than poor people with those same issues who end up on the streets.

The only thing that really bothers me is the DUI for alcohol.

For the other stuff, he got suspended for a drug that was just legalized in the state of Massachusetts. Hell, it's dumb it's even a suspension in the NFL at all to smoke pot.

Yeah Reggie was a loser. Anyways, I’m stoked. I’ve wanted Gordon for years. Him and Brady? Yikes. Eases coverage right on down to the RBs and Devlin. If he can interpret coverages and leverages then he be will be fine. Wouldn’t shock me if he is active Sunday after some serious reps with TB this week.

He just went to rehab again in training camp. He’s missed 55 games. The Browns suspected him of falling off the wagon again. This man has demons.
