Congratulations to the N.Y. Giants on their first victory of the season.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Most intriguing game appears to be the Saints and Falcons, for me anyway.

Re: Week 3 Matchups and Games Discussion
Who would you start in fantasy between Rivers vs the Rams and Luck vs the Eagles? My default starters in that league are Cam Newton and Luck but Rivers has outscored Luck both weeks so far. I don't like the matchup vs the Rams but I can't say I like Luck's either.
I guess I have Tannehill too against the Raiders and he is projected to do about the same..they are all projected to get between 20 and 21 points.

Re: Week 3 Matchups and Games Discussion
Tough decision, but I would probably take Rivers. Rams will score 30+ points and I envision Rivers will be forced to play catchup most of the game. You could see some garbage time production.
Hard to imagine the Eagles defense **** the bed for the second consecutive week. They'll probably play a lot more inspired football with Wentz back in the mix.

I don't play Rivers this week, but that's just me.

Actually the more I think about, I'd roll with Tannehill. I'd rank them Tannehill, Rivers, Luck.

Would you play Luck or Tannehill over him if those were your options?

Mark Barron is going to be a huge part of our pass defense and he's out again - the WRs may not do much, but against the Raiders Carr had nearly 300 yards and WRs only had around 50. The Chargers already throw to RBs...so I think it's a given that Rivers puts up some numbers yardage wise. The kicker is going to be TDs. For that reason I would strongly consider Luck - the Eagles just got LIT up by the Bucs after all, and Luck has looked pretty good - I think Rivers has the lower floor this week but Luck has the higher ceiling.

Re: Week 3 Matchups and Games Discussion
Rams Chargers is the best game this weekend IMO.
First big test for the Rams, and in terms of talent, the Chargers are similar to the Falcons, who obviously beat us in the playoffs.
I could see either team winning, and weirdly I don't think it will be a back and forth game - I think one team will control it from the kickoff.

I don't feel good about the Chargers chances, but obviously KC is for real, so that loss isn't a huge deal, and the Chargers were probably on it's way back to have a close finish until a punt returner fumbled inside their own 5, down by 11 at the beginning of the 4th after holding KC to a 3 and out.
Just a tough D. But Rivers never really gets shut down throwing for yards. And if they get behind early they will be playing catchup.
I wish Bosa wasn't out though. That really hurts. As does not having Hunter Henry when Rivers will need to get rid of the ball quickly. The key will be Keenan Allen and his ability to get open on short routes.

You don't make it easy. To be perfectly honest, I don't trust Tannehill and Miami runs the ball about 73%. I take a shot with Luck this week. I like the Colts anyways in a mold upset this weekend.

Don't give up on your Chargers so easily this week. I fully expect a lot closer game than is being predicted.
