Will the Houston Texans get the #1 pick again?

Post#1 » by orlandomanic » Mon Sep 24, 2018 5:25 am

Of all the 0-3 teams, Houston looks like the worst, especially on offense. Will the Houston Texans get the #1 pick again after this season?

Texans o line is a trainwreck, yet Watson has managed to move the offense albeit inconsistently. And all three of their loses have been close for the most part...I have more faith in them moving forward than the Cardinals, Bills, Raiders, 49ers, and Cowboys.

And two 2nd round picks as well, one from Seattle from the Duane Brown trade.

I think it's more likely they win a few games because of Watson and the defense, just enough to save Ass Chin's job again. Maybe McNair will give him another 5 year extension as a result.

Would you rather have the 2nd or Brown considering the state of your oline?

As hard as it is to replace a guy like Brown, he kinda wore out his welcome here in Houston so I'm fine with the 2nd. I also think a big part of the problem is lack of coaching.

Talent wise, I've been wanting to see them invest more heavily in the O-Line for quite a while now. Every year under Ass Chin it's been a weakness. Makes me miss the Kubiak days when they had a strong O-Line and Arian Foster dominating the run game, and actually utilize their TE's effectively.

A first and two 2nd's is a good place to start if they're serious about rebuilding that side of the football. Or they can just let Watson run for his life, when they're not running Lamar Miller up the middle for a 1-yd gain constantly.

Allen and the Bills just dominated the Vikings. Allen is going to win them more games this year. I'm excited to see what Rosen will do with the Cards next week.

With that said, Houston and the Raiders are clearly the two worst teams in the NFL. Houston is just god awful on both offense and defense and Texas just doesn't know what good football is. the Houston OLine is allowing so many big hits on Watson, that i don't expect him to play a full year. Once Watson gets knocked out and is lost for the year, Houston will easily go 0-16.

Raiders are also just flat out bad, like Houston, it looks like the Raiders have no soul, just an empty shell, this is all thanks to Gruden and his bad play calling and horrible locker room leadership.

I see both the Texans and Raiders being in the top 3 in this year's draft.

This is a terrible take IMO, neither the Texans or the Raiders will be in the top 3, they both have too much offensive talent

The Bills, Cardinals, and 9ers with no Jimmy G, are clearly the bottom 3 for me

Raiders, Jets, Texans, Giants, Cowboys, (Maybe Colts) sort of form that next tier for me

Though it's only week 3 so it's hard to make bold predictions like this

This is just so wrong its bad. Oakland is just god awful, they have a mediocre talent QB who looks like the worst QB for 2018 so far, their #1 WR would be a #3 on a good team, and they have zero at RB. on top of that, the Raiders look pathetic on the sideline, just 50 guys who don't care about football, with zero passion and zero leadership.

SF on the other hand looks decent to good, they put points on the board but most importantly their defense looks legit and on the verge of elite, and on top of that they have Foster coming back from suspension next week.

You have that much faith in CJ Bethard? Did you miss Jimmy G's injury? Oakland finishes the season with more wins that SF, etch it in stone fam

Yes, I'm not buying the over hype on Grap like alot of novice fans. Grap is at best a quality backup in the NFL like Cassel and Brissett. SF should get about 5-6 wins

You are wrong about Oakland again, they are 0-3, i don't know what wins you are talking about, Gruden has destroyed the soul of the Raiders, i guess you are naturally always wrong.

Texans will win 4-5 games. Cardinals and bills will pick 1-2, last week was more about vikings losing than bills being any good. And cj beathard is awful, niners also dark horse.
