I'm so confused as to why they didn't use Cedeno against Carpenter his second time up. Surely it makes sense to use him there and then later in the game he's either facing Hader or one of our premium relievers.

I wouldn't really call this a bullpen game. More like a back doored shortened start for Freddy. Basically this just indicates that Counsell has more faith in a fresh Peralta than Anderson in his current form and he didn't know how to tell him.

Looks like Peralta was going to pitch into the 5th inning if Arcia hadn't gotten on base there. I wouldn't have expected Anderson to be used more unless he was dominating, which Peralta hasn't been.
