China has specifically targeted red state exports for tariffs. There has never ever been any more harsh and specific meddling in our elections than targeted red state tariffs.

Hundreds of millions of dollars on tariffs for those who both live and work or export those goods in red states.

And that same press is applauding those Chinese tariffs On goods from red states. In fact you are applauding it. In two years later that same press and those same liberals in this thread are still whining and complaining about Russian meddling in our election. Yet do not care and in fact I’ll plod Chinese targeted tariffs aimed at suppressing the vote in red states based on trumps foreign-policy actions against China.

I mean this Stench of hypocrisy from Democrats and liberals and left wing media on just about anything and everything is so overwhelming and so so stinky that it stretches from coast to coast and consumes us all.

i find this manufactured fear of China to be worrisome. you can see it manifest in SD's posts where he points to China as an economic boogeyman that's been conspiring against America since the 70's.

just completely brainwashing the feeble-minded by using fearmongering buzzwords like "trade deficit" and "currency manipulation" to distrust and engender anti-globalist sentiments.

He has all these foreign agents, documents, payments and hackers from the country that has the largest land mass in Asia, so it must be the Chinese!!!

In all seriousness, though, it wouldn't shock me if China hasn't been attempting to, and is poised to really amp up their efforts on that front. Given the weak response to just how far Russia went, it's pretty clearly open season on American democracy abroad.

Do you understand English? It doesn't seem like you do. You clearly don't understand what meddling in our elections means. Either that or you're being deliberately obtuse. Either way, you're wasting my time and everyone else's time here.

I am glad that Brett Kavanaugh has finally put everybody's concerns to rest by releasing his calendar.

Go ahead and convince yourself, there's no mention of heavy drinking and groping anywhere.

Tbh, I don't know that this one is even accusing him of anything illegal. All she's saying is that he was in the vicinity when she was attacked.

I'll also point out several aspects that don't pass the smell test.

* Swetnik attended 10 of these rape parties where the men would line up along a bedroom hallway and await their turn. Either she was raped in one of her earlier appearances and continued to come back; or she attended 9 rape parties where other women got raped and didn't stop attending until she was the one raped.
* Swetnik graduated high school 3 years before Kavanaugh. So she was a college-aged adult attending gang rape parties with high school-aged minors. Most college-aged women don't party with rapey high schoolers.
* She used Michael Avenatti of all people as her attorney.
* The story was released on the eve of the Kavanaugh hearing so that there was no time to investigate. A clear attempt to delay further in the hopes of postponing the vote until after the Midterms.

Finally, her statement only says that corroborating witness exist that will attest that she claimed she was raped shortly afterwards. They do not corroborate the act itself, nor that Kavanaugh was there. We have no evidence other than the word of Ms. Swetnik, that Kavanaugh was actually in attendance.

I don't mean to label all social conservatives as hypocrites. But given what is coming out about Kavanaugh - I think he does fit that mold.

Maybe I was too hopeful when discussing what his record was on hiring women to clerk on his court.

I assume he was referring to the large 2-page add by the Chinese government in the Des Moines Register that was a series of pro-China news articles meant to look like they were part of the official paper. It is certainly a more direct means of influencing elections than a bunch of Russian Facebook trolls having tenuous associations with Putin.

are you trying to say that if china or any other country specifically targets the exports of specific states because the leader of that specific party is making policy to equal the trade balance with China and force china to pay for using our intellectual property..... are you trying to tell us that is NOT meddling in our elections?? Seriously?

And why is it you keep questioning my chess calculations with checkers calculations?

China, by specifically targeting swing state exports, trump red state exports, States Obama won...China is (not trying) but in fact is aggressively meddling with red state support for trump. Thats a fact!!!

And the media doesn't care! It's Meddling!! Who cares?? No one!! Not the libs! Not the dems! And certainly not you.

If China just a had a generalized tariff on all good then its not political Instead those tariffs are on harley davidson specifically and farm products so that are produced in wisconsin and auto products from Ohio and michigan. <--i mean come on!! That's meddling. Hard core meddling!!! Those are tariffs aimed to harm one specific political party. Trump! A generalized tariff on all goods from china would be fine to counter our tariffs. And it doesn't matter if our tariffs are specific because china does not have a free, fair, and open press nor free and open elections. They are still a borderline communist state due to government control of internet and the press. Xi is almost a dictator.

You dont care. Because it hurts trump. You dont care because it undermines trump's support in those swing states. You dont want Trump to win the trade war. You want him to lose it. You prefer China win the trade war. You dont care if it hurts our economy. If it hurts you neighbor's job's prospectus. You dont care! You just want trump to fail and by any means necessary. You would rather we ship jobs overseas to china and your neighbor be unemployed. You would rather that the US economy suffer and we borrow into oblivion to pay for unemployment benefits than win the trade war and bring jobs back here so your neighbor can have gainful employment and the dignity of self sufficiency. And You dont give a phuck bout none of that. We know! We all know where the lefty liberals stand on this. You all want to ship our jobs and manufacturing overseas and instread pay out entitlments. We get it. We know.

But let's call it what it is, shall we? A full on assault of our republican party and our sitting US president. That's called Meddling in our elections for anyone paying attention.

I'd say it wouldn't change even 1 vote. The people that vote for Trump vote for him no matter what. In fact, the more they're hurt, the more likely they are to vote for him.

Swetnick graduated from Gaithersburg HS - which is where I vote - probably can't help the school's rep. I don't think her involvement in the Cavanaugh issue helps anyone, tbh.
