Surprised to see the few votes that some guys are getting.

I'm not fully confident in Kyrie Irving's knee going forward. Trade possibility?

Smart. Rozier. Theis. Baynes. Ojeleye. Williams. Sac pick. Memphis pick. Boston pick.

I apologize. I miss read this that you were saying MLE for Rozier. Scratch from the record

* With Kyrie resigning starters will be the same.
* Now the bench:
- Smart, Baynes, Williams, SAC top 5 rookie....This 4 Im sure will be back, others well
- Semi is on minimum deal, he stays.
- Theis imo takes a team friendly deal like Baynes did.
Thats 11 players.
- Morris for sure will be gone
- Yabu Im not sure.
- Rozier, will get to big offer... so

If I believed he was re-signable, I would vote for Marcus Morris.
Overall, much depends on the development of Williams and next year's draft pick(s).
Baylor is Brat.

I really find Morris' desire to Start, over winning a Title, to be absurd.
Even Hayward, Tatum, Baynes, etc, have said that they don't mind coming off the Bench.
It's just about winning to them. As it should be.

The best bench talent they have right now, though Williams of course is just a young rook, would be Rozier and Williams.
I'd hate to see Terry go. If I were Danny I'd do whatever I can to keep him.

Morris is gone for sure, and hopefully sometime this season. Rozier is gonna get too much and they already paid Smart. Yabusele likely won't have his option picked up unless he takes a massive step forward (but how, he's going to get zero useful minutes). No idea on Wanamaker and Theis, really depends on what other teams are willing to throw at them, especially Theis.

celticfan42487 wrote:Well this is all pending that we can swing a trade for AD for our draft picks and a Horford + Brown or resigned Rozier, ect. That's plan A.
If Plan A fails...
That Plan is all but dead at this point. Not to rain on the parade but Davis is going to be eligible for a monstrous extension this off season. Assuming he makes the All NBA team and my math is right he will be eligible for a 6 year 274 mil extension that will add 10 mil a season to the two remaining contract years. He has no financial incentive not to sign that contract but it would mean he is not going to be traded for 2 years from now if ever I believe. The math can get a little fuzzy on what the max actually ends up being compared to the cap but It is safe to say AD would be choosing to giving up 10 mil next year to sign for 6 mil less on the open market never mind the raises and the extra year. Dude will be like 31 at the end of that 6 year deal.
Boston no longer has the overwhelming package it would be willing to surrender and Davis no longer as the years remaining on his contract to make it worth that ransom.
Irving resigns.
Wannamaker and Rozier are gone.
I am not that warm and fuzzy on Wannamaker being here now he is just not that impressive at this point he does not look athletic enough to be in the NBA.
I think Boston will play the game with Rozier. My guess is that he will be too valuable to trade during the season unless it is for an expiring vet PG with a similar skill set but they are too expensive or a similar young player with a few more years of control maybe the Knicks panic and don't want to go to FA. But I think Boston may well match a pretty massive offer for Rozier if he follows up last seasons success and then trade him if it becomes necessary over time.
I think Boston may also try and sign him before the start of the season. PG is the one spot where guys seem to get a little underpaid based on their production. If you look at last year and the contracts that went out to guards and RFA in general in what was a tight market I think there is a sweet spot for a guy like Rozier to say you know that is enough. Maybe something in between Smart and Gary Harris in Denver or Harris' contract but maybe for 3 years instead of 4 or 5. The challenge in that is that Rozier would be giving up two players markets for what will likely be a belt tightening market. At the same time there are plenty of guys who where in Rozier's position even a year ago that are didn't get paid or didn't get paid what they expected. Hook him up with a trade kicker and it gives you the insurance against things going sideways with Irving.
I would look to Horford and Hayward's future to see where Boston tries to trim the lux tax bill whether lower salaries or moving on.

I think Rozier will be resigned. Celtics love Rozier. Don’t see him moved unless a huge piece i.e. Davis comes back in the deal.

Bleacher Report early free agency has Kyrie leaving for the Knicks, and Al Horford signing with the clippers....
They may get those wrong.

Re: Celtics 2019-20, How much of the Roster do we keep together?
Get AD is priority #1 so most likely if we can swing it JB + Horford + picks goes out for AD.
With that in mind we re-sign Rozier.
Theis and Baynes stay
Morris & Yabs go.
Horford is the biggest priority this coming offseason with what happens in NO and if AD isn’t traded then we need to see if he’ll opt in or sign a longer, cheaper deal to keep the team together.
