Yeah, that's where a lot of people thought he would be most dangerous, like a guy who could be Kevin Love/Draymond Green off ball, but give him the ball and he is more of a Ben Simmons type who can hit a deep 3.

Where would you play him?

I'd play him at the 3 like a Paul Pierce. Or think of him as being like Joe Ingles only much, much better.

Can't we make moderate comparisons instead of these outlandish remarks. Not every young player with tremendous potential has to be compared to top 5-10 players of all-time.

I think him and Harrison Barnes are interchangeable on offense and defense, so calling them a 3 or 4 ultimately doesn't matter that much. He blocked 3 shots tonight.....of course it wasn't NBA competiton...but his body could probably handle bigger 4s better than Barnes. But I basically just think of them as shooting forwards or Doncic could be a point forward. With Jordan in the middle they are not really going to be pounding it inside a lot posting up and stuff. Doncic will initiate and drive to the rim some because that's what he does, but he's good at it, and can finish.

I think the days of thinking of positions (mainly 2-4 or 3/4) as being meaningful as in much of a different role has past us by, yet so many cling onto them. Sure, you do have some traditional 4s, but they usually end up playing 5 these days.

Magic won Finals MVP in his rookie season. What did Simmons do in his last playoff series as a rookie *cough* to be exact? Simmons is special, but he's no Magic. Game-wise or personality wise.

As for Doncic compared to Bird? not even gonna comment on that. Smh.

From what I saw, his quickness and size are just similar to Draymond Green in his rookie season in Grizzles. I think he can handle 4 better than Barnes. He blocked out and rebounded very well in Europe.

I'm of the mind that positions don't exist in the NBA, so I think it'll work out just fine.

For me as a combo-guard but that might be a bad fit next to DSJ.

Well he is basically a combo guard in a PFs body...like Ben Simmons is a PG in a PFs body.

Simmons can legitimately defend 1-4, though. I don't have much faith in Doncic defending 4s on a consistent basis.

Doncic is more of NJ nets version of Joe Johnson

Top 5? Hard to say. This is a good rookie class. Personally, I like SGA, Doncic, WCJ, Knox, probably Ayton, Sexton and Miles Bridges.

I actually don't hate a Joe Johnson with LeBron's passing comparison. Although Luka's handles are significantly better than Iso Joe's, at least to me it seems like. Also, wasn't Joe Johnson a better athlete than Luka? Doncic has a lot of similarities with Harden too, but there are of course big differences as well. I can't see a single comparison that is perfect for him, but then again, isn't this a good sign? He has a lot to prove anyway.

Uhhh yea

Unless Bagley plays the Beijing whatever the hells first and flops, I’d wait it out a bit

Doncic looks great for them but how much greater than Bogdan already is for us Idk

PF, SG, PG , SF, or C, Sacramento is going to terribly regret their decision
