We know that isn't the case, Trump supports the worst practices in society and has made radical changes (immigration, taxation, environmental). So, your assertion is false and just plain silly.

If you said that Trump has hijacked the Republican party and no longer stand for conservative values - then okay.

To be honest, I hope Kanye keeps it up.

If that's how he genuinely feels, don't sugarcoat a thing. Say what's on his mind.

If I'm going to be 100% honest about this, I probably don't reject Cavanaugh on the basis of sexual assault. I reject him for 2 other reasons. One are his comments and lack thereof when questioned on human rights. Two is the way he testified - not just yesterday - but before when asked about his drinking - the disrespect was completely unacceptable for SC Justice candidate. And yesterday was a complete disqualification - that was unbelievable for a SC Justice candidate. And if I may say... what a f'n pussy. And I didn't even address the fact that he's lied under oath several times. That would be reason #3 to disqualify him.

I don't think his nomination should have gotten to this point. Before the allegations from Dr. Ford and now others there were serious questions about his honesty and openness.

If the allegations were an isolated incident, I think he could have survived them with an honest approach.

He could have admitted heavy drinking as a youth, and admitted he may have treated women inappropriately. One thing on his side is it would have been a misdemeanor at the time. I think the Republicans could have held their nose(the 2 or 3 who actually care) and voted for his nomination.

What makes that approach untenable is it seems the drinking behavior(at least) has continued for years.

I have no idea what Kanye actually believes, but I do very much suspect he's doing whatever it takes to stay relevant in the media for marketing purposes to prolong his career. That picture of him wearing both a MAGA hat and a Kaepernick shirt makes him basically another Trump equivalent. I'm not convinced Trump believes everything he's spouting either (he believes enough of it that it doesn't matter, and even if he doesn't his particular ends don't justify the means in this case) but he does what he does because he benefits from it and doesn't really care what others think, knowing that enough people will disagree and not pay attention to specifics. Kanye is pretty much the same.
