(Those 2 lists include C.Bosh who isn't even playing basketball)

Some were overpaid by teams not to retain talent, some were overpaid for a team to acquire talent, this doesn't mean their worth their contracts. It is absolutely ridiculous to pay someone 25-30% of your cap if they aren't a game changer, it makes creating a contender extremely hard.

A team of 3 max contracts of Middleton, Porter and Wiggins does not have a bright future at all and aren't anywhere close to a max team of say... Towns, Butler and Irving. (It just insane that was actually possible for Minnesota)

Stars win in the NBA. Not scrubs. Now if you want to settle for mediocrity that is one way to go. I'd rather go for the best player we can get. Quality trumps quantity every time. Also a team of Middleton/Porter/Towns IMO would have a bright future.

Right, stars, Porter and Middleton are not stars. Middleton has at least has came close to being an all-star, Porter not really.

They are stars. Any top 50 player in the league is a star. There aren't even two of those top 50 players in the league per team.

Yes, he is probably the best fit as all-around perimeter player (sounds familiar, ah?) good shooter who defends and also seems to have high IQ to be 3rd option in offence. But I think the question is his contract, I wonder how much salaries will increase next offseason. If I look current contract for a veteran 3&D I'd be okay if we give him 80mil/4yrs. But there is another question is he willing to re-sign with us? I doubt that any of FAs will consider us because of how messed up are all processes: management, coaching, negotiation with player etc.

MKG+Marvin+Lamb+2019 1st+2021 1st for Butler+Dieng is the most I would give up from Charlotte and fair for both sides imo. Not including Bridges or Monk.

Charlotte gets the best backcourt in the east, Wolves get 2 shooters, a great defensive player, 2 future 1sts rid of Dieng‘s last year for a disgruntled Butler, and Butler out the west.

If both picks are unprotected, I'm listening although I'd prefer Bridges.

Bucks are good trade partners because of picks and young guys and expirings not Middleton.

Good idea but I am not sure what that does for a rebuilding team outside of picks

Heat Injury reporter (suspicious?)

• Adebayo (Right AC Joint Sprain) – Out
• Ellington (Left Ankle Soreness) – Out
• J. Johnson (Sports Hernia Surgery) – Out
• Richardson (Left Thigh Contusion) – Out
• Waiters (Left Ankle Surgery) – Out

Very interesting that all these Heat players were held out of tonight's game. Especially Adebayo and Richardson who have been among the players that the Twolves have asked for in the Butler discussions.

That’s a good sign. Thigh contusion is the classic made up injury.

Richardson, Adebayo or Olynyk and FRP I could live with.

Lol how when the only strong offers are from the Heat and Houston? They aren’t giving up Bam and Richardson and is an EG+Chriss+pick 28-30 doesn’t seem that much better.

I can’t multi quote without it freezing my phone so sorry. Didn’t think the Timberwolves were rebuilding.

Both picks will eventually become unprotected. Not giving up Bridges for a rental.

It is not about players, it is about fit. Wiggins is not reliable 3pt shooter, that is why we need a 3pt wing in starting lineup. MKG is lost case as 3pt shooter, Lamb is not starting caliber player. Williams is a backup stretch four who is paid as starter. Also both Williams and MKG are overpaid and these two contracts will limit our financial flexibility.

How many times do I have to tell people this. Butler isn't going to throw 49 million down the toilet. Whoever has his bird rights will be able to sign him as long as they offer the Max.

Yea a Heat offer of Bam, Richardson, and a pick sounds really good. I don't know much about Rich but have heard good things. I also dont think the Heat are giving up too much for a guy like Butler who will have a mega impact.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.
