Sounds like it is possible. There is no way a 19 year old should feel it is his right to be called up in baseball. Ridiculous if he really feels that way.

For the organization to start him in triple A next year would be disrespectful.

No, it would be logical. He'll start in AAA for a couple weeks.

Why are we hearing so much noise about this, when like all the teams do this.

Did Acuna file grievance, for not being called up by ATL? Or Cubs with Bryant, etc.

Vlad Jr is the current example so we are hearing more about it... I think Bryant's case is actually still pending.

Why bother? He should make the team out of Spring.. Where's the logic in starting him in Triple-A for two weeks? Watch him hit another walk-off home run in Montreal next April, and they send him to Buffalo. Everyone will be shaking their head as what more he has to prove.

He has nothing to prove. But sacrificing an entire season of Vlad for two weeks of Vlad in a lost season is not sound asset management.

If he starts next season in Buffalo for the first two weeks they retain him for another season?

Yeah; the way the service time clock works, you need six complete seasons to reach free agency. Keeping him in AAA for, i dunno, 2-3 weeks delays it by a year.
