So far at least, he has played like a mix of Favre and Rodgers. The Favre creativity and arm, with Rodgers lack of interceptions while throwing on the move.

No question our offense which be much better, it's why Rodgers is annoyed.
That said, both of the Rams and Chiefs have lots of playmakers, that also has to make Aaron envious.

There's no guy like Tyreek Hill on this team, but Aaron Jones can be a lot like Kareem Hunt if McCarthy would actually recognize the guy's talent. Davante is absolutely a playmaker, and I think Cobb still has a little bit of that in him too when he's healthy.
I think Rodgers frustration comes that he knows there's talent around him, the scheming of the talent is the problem. The offense has been basically the same thing since 2015.

The waiting to the last second to snap the ball is killer for the o-line too.

He's earned the hype
He does look great so far though

Players have gotten hype without playing a single game. I'll give Mahomes some credit for absolutely killing it his first 4 games and giving fans every reason to be excited
But yeah, hype isn't everything and plenty of QB's have had amazing debut seasons and then cooled off afterwards. Newton threw for 4,000 yards his rookie season and hasn't hit that mark since. Foles had his 27/2 season and then just completely fell off until this past playoff run. Dak Prescott is another guy that comes to mind. I swear he's turned into the most average QB after we beat the Cowboys in the playoffs

The big test for how good Mahomes is going to be is next season. I actually expect for him to continue to put up big numbers (not at his current rate but still impressive numbers at least) this entire season. But the big test will be once coordinators get a full years worth of film on him.LikeABosh wrote:RRyder823 wrote:I'm not sure how much hype you can "earn" in 4 games.LikeABosh wrote:

As you said theres been a litany of guys who have started their careers hot and the regressed once defenses get film on a guy.
Not taking away from they guy. He looks great. I just need alot more then I've seen to put him down as a HoF which is where the hype seems to be at right now
