He doesn’t play a lick of defense? Who are you watching?

Seiklaly was a damn good player, during that 90's era. Second tier center during that era, but very solid.

Yeah He was. Now that I think about it Shaq to Rony is very similar to Dwight to Vuc.

Spot on!

I like Ross a lot more than Simmons. I know a lot of people disagree with me but I really don't like Simmons' game.

Simmons annoys me a lot. I told people back then that he’d be Jeff Green-ish and got a lot of heat for it. I still think he is. He just puts his head down and doesnt create for his teammates. He has a knack for getting to the hole though which is what we need.

Both are useless when they have off nights though. Which is like 50-50. Lol

However for entertainment purposes, I prefer Ross. Ross just amazes me when i see him with those reflexes. The guy is simply elastic and really has quick reflexes. And the occassional fastbreak dunks.

He is more like Lance Stephenson imo, he pads that assists after he is done padding points. Has like 5 good nights all season and in most of other nights he is huge negative who ballhogs a lot.

It's actually not a terrible comparison and remember, centers didn't shoot the 3 back then. Ronnie was actually pretty good, maybe a little more athletic than Vuc and not as good of a facilitator but likely not needed with Penny on the team. He had the unfortunate job of filling Shaq's shoes the year after he left.

To me he looks like a guy who's doing just that but more so to prove that he deserves to be here. He talked up his play during the pre-season interviews and it made me cringe a bit. However, I do think he has talent and I really balance where he is today with how long he has been in the league. If he can become a better team player/decision maker, he has the possibility to be a high quality rotation guy.

Seikaly was a far better defender than anyone gives him credit. He was no Dwight or Shaq but I would say he was the third best center in Magic history (hopefully he will be fourth once Bamba takes off)

Isaac is ok. Day to day with a mild sprain. I am sure they told him if he felt any twinge or pain to tell them and get out of the game. He will probably miss some preseason games which is fine with me.

Weltman knows Bamba is the future and Vuc is on his last year here. Vuc has an expiring 12.5mil. That's 12.5mil added to our cap next offseason that could put us over the edge to offer star money. Vuc isnt being traded unless some PO team makes a good offer. His value sucks around the league so its not happening. I expect him to just finish his season here and move on. Fournier will prob be next.

Good news but. No one saw anything that looked like it would cause a problem during the game. That means he's still dealing with lingering issues from last season or that he tweaked it during practice. The latter more likely and not something the team would want to share BUT - I want to know!

Actually Denton (I believe) said it happened when he stepped on Saric’s foot in the 2nd quarter.

It looks like he's dunking at the Open Practice so he's all good.

He is the Andrew Wiggins of C. No effort no hustle just there to cash his check. I cant see many games before Bamba replaces him.

He scored 20 points for the Magic on a night where no one else got more than 13. A good portion of those players got less than ten minutes of game-time, but even compared to players who matched or exceeded his minutes, Vuc still led the way by a large margin.
Remember when Kobe elbowed Jameer in the chin so hard Jameer was knocked down and sent skidding across the floor?

Let’s pretend that vuc didn’t have 20/20 games a few years ago. But that doesn’t mean **** right??
