Considering we're in year five of Roman Reigns as the face of the company, I don't expect WWE to do the smart thing with Becky/Charlotte either.

Oh man. As much as I love AJ, put the damn title on The Miz. That promo from Miz TV was awesome. He's top 3 promo in the company.

They really dropped the ball by not giving the MITB briefcase to Miz. The story of Bryan finally winning back the title after years where we thought he might wrestle again, only for Miz to cash in and steal it from him, basically wrote itself. It was a story so simple even WWE shouldn't have been able to screw it up, and yet they did by giving the briefcase to basically the only guy in the entire **** company it did nothing for.

Looks like the World Cup is a 2005 throwback, Cena-Angle-Orton-Hardy, and likely Mysterio.

No doubt the last time the rich Saudi's watched wrestling was 2005.

Wouldn't fans call that predictable like they do everything else? Predictable is the number 1 or number 2 complaint I read about WWE pay per views.

Ultimately, we want Miz and Bryan at Mania for the title. I'd love to see the following broad scenario happen:
- Miz screws Bryan at Crown Jewel
- Miz wins the title in December, setting up Bryan to win the Rumble
- Bryan enters the Rumble early - 3rd or 4th. Every fan in the universe knows that Bryan will win.
- Bryan gets eliminated from the Rumble about 3/4 of the way through. Fans are pissed. They're screwing Daniel again! How can Vince be so **** stupid! I wish he'd just die so we could have good wrestling again! I miss the Attitude Era when everything was amazing and perfect! He'll probably put **** Mandy Rose against Miz at Mania cause she's fit and blonde! What an idiot!
- Bryan enters a non-title feud that looks like it could go to Mania.
- Bryan wins the feud and goes on to win some sort of long-odds number-1 contender thing.
- Bryan wins the title from Miz as Mania.

I think you need to get the fans thinking that Bryan isn't in the plans again. If you just book him like Cena or Reigns, it's going to have less of an impact.

It has to be an intense No. 1 contender's match though. Setting up a feud with DB while Miz is champion is still "predictable". I'd have him fight against crowd favorites or heels who's turning it around and gaining momentum ala RTruth, Shelton, Big E, Jeff, Rusev, etc. Build all of them strong to keep everyone guessing.

For the Rumble winner, have an SD wrestler win then challenge for the Universal Title. Would love to see Reigns vs Joe and Joe finally winning one (highly unlikely). Or put Jeff here. Merch machines are the ones likely to become faces of the brands.

The thing is, predictable doesn't have to mean bad. For example, most of us predicted that both Asuka and Nakamura would win the Rumble last year. That was predictable, but both Rumbles were great and I don't recall many complaints about those matches being predictable. Most of us were just happy we finally got a good Royal Rumble again after three years of awful matches.

Further, NXT is usually pretty predictable, and yet it's almost always good.

The problem is just that WWE is usually predictable in all the worst ways and rarely in the best ones.

We're only left with Matt V.1, MVP, and Batista.

I enjoyed the show for the most part, but didn't really get the Evolution stuff.

One, they never appeared on Smackdown.
Two, isn't the story DX vs. Taker/Kane? Why do anything else with HHH right now?

Just weird.

My guess is they're trying to build to a twenty-five minute bathroom break epic between Triple H and Batista at 'Mania.

Read somewhere that Batista was really pushing hard for a feud with Trips for his previous comeback and was not granted and he got really pissed. We know what happened then. This may be the launch pad for that.

Mysterio and Nak was great. Title reign has been meaningless to date.

Becky was fire on the mic as usual.

So Becky is never getting over as a heel.

Also Edge  what Becky is doing is so mild in comparison to what he did, he was a legit sociopath (also why he was the best heel in the entire company during his run).

Batista vs HHH would be good, but we know HHH will go over anyway. Still would love to see more Batista anyway.

What's funny to me...is that when watching Raw, sometimes the show feels super long and it's like...yeah we could do without a third hour...but then I watch Smackdown (or rather have it on and try to watch since my kids are **** monkeys jumping and screaming during the shows) and I'm like...wait, is it really the end already? Shoot, that was fast.

Also, I'm really really enjoying the MMC. The fact that Lashley is staying in character as the a**hole heel is awesome. Usually the wrestlers take the matches a little lighter on the kayfabe but I think it works perfect for Lashley to remain that heel guy. Miz/Asuka v Rusev/Lana was awesome. Miz and Asuka make a great team, enjoyed Miz using his shady tactics to get the W. Lana is super over right now too, which is cool to me. She's getting better in the ring, very slowly but she is.

Also, thinking about it now, I wouldn't be surprised to see Batista cost DX their match against the BOD to be honest...to help set up that feud between Trips and Batista.

Given his political leanings, I'd be kind of surprised to see Batista show up at a Saudi show.

If they relocate it, though, all bets are off I guess.

Money talks tho... If it's good enough, I wouldn't be surprised.

True, but I doubt Batista really needs the money that badly. He seems to want to return to WWE because he enjoys it, not because of the money. He undoubtedly makes far more acting in films than he does when he comes back to WWE.
