Donte had some really nice moments last night. he broke down the defense, and passed it to a big for a slam. he plays
heady and like a veteran already. He's got a great coach and a good team around him. He will play.

He's known for his shooting ability, so even though he went 1-9 it's not that worrisome, first game. But he's very athletic. I didn't get to watch the game, but I hope he turns into a nice piece for the bucks.

Kupchak was comfortable with taking SGA if West didn't want to trade up, there was no way you were going to get both SGA and Bridges/Knox. SGA knew for a while that he was going to either be a Clipper or a Hornet after draft night.

I know it's unrealistic, just a pipe dream.

A. define "everyone"

B. Trae had 8 assists in 20 minutes.

C. maybe that stink is coming from your broken eyes?

Eggsactly.

1. It's been 1 game and
2. Young didn't look bad, just missed shots plus
3. As you said, had 8 asts (2 turns) and ran the offense, which is what we want from him.

I'm not asking anyone to like the guy but at least watch him play and give him a chance before writing off his career.

mitchell's ability to defend the paint yet an any given moment step out and defend the perimeter is something special.

He has much more juice off the dribble than I expected, showed very good quickness and passing potential. His general feel for the game is pretty high level for a rookie. The shooting has been a struggle but in a way I was kinda impressed he’s able to contribute in several other ways with his shot not falling.

I expect his numbers to look rough this year but he’s a guy I see Bud molding into a good role player by year 2 or 3.

Trier did this in college a lot as well, I wouldn’t go all in just yet. He had some monster games at U of A where they would go to him over Ayton late in games. Guy can produce, the only problem is next game he will probably forget to show up. The guy is crazy inconsistent.

Isn't he on a two way contract? On a two way deal he would only get so many games with the main team then he has to be on the G League team. If he's a keeper then they have to sign him to real deal.

Anyone watched Rockets tonight? Any insight on Hartenstein? I am believer he will be good, steal of 2017 draft.

Bagley really surprised me by the way. Good game.

Bagley played good versatile defense today (guarded 3-5) and played within himself on offense and his energy got him the majority of his baskets. That is how hes going to get most of his offense this year. But for a guy that was supposed to be this horrific defender (I never thought so) he sure hasnt looked bad on that end in SL and preseason.

Bagley looked good and Giles looked even better. Giles court awareness and passing is something else.

Ya Giles has always had that, that is why he got a lot of Webber comparisons pre injuries. He has a great natural feel for the game. He is really skilled as well, his handle is really good and he has a ton of different ways to score from inside 15 feet. Can turn over either shoulder, has a really good push/floater and its great to see his jumper getting a little more arc to it.

Fox's shooting off the dribble looked really, really good that game. Like, one of those things where yes it's preseason, but you can definitely tell he's improved.

Awesome to see Giles out there, good feel, jumper has looked solid, good fundamentals overall, very complete player. Is it just me or does he not quite look as athlete, in the above the rim sense, as he did in HS? Not that that's surprising after all the injuries, but still, hope he can still be a highlight package.

I actually never thought he was that explosive of an athlete when it came to his vertical explosion. Now I definitely dont think he is as explosive as he once was, but ya like you said it is kind of expected. But the thing that made him so good athletically back in the day was just his ability to move, he always had a stiff look to him but even with that he moved really well. I know he tested extremely well in those drills, I still dont see that aspect of his game back yet.

Suns fan, huh? Mad that you missed out on the local product? Threatened that someone is going to steal Ayton's ROY hardware?

Kidding!

Obviously, no one here can predict what kind of career he is going to have. It's still fun to talk about him going off last night, talk about how he went undrafted, and try to render a guess about what he might be able to do as a pro.

I wish Trier a very long, successful and happy career. Can't be jealous after one preseason game though. Been around too long to fall for that... But he could be good. Ayton is the **** real deal man.
