Arguably, the best Kobe-led team vs. the best LeBron-led team.

Who wins in 7?

The Heat matched up poorly against natural bigs, and the Lakers are pretty much the biggest team of their era. I say Pau Gasol and Odom kills them on boards.

If this is the 27 game win streak Heat when Wade is fully healthy I'll take them pretty handily in 6 and quite possibly 5 tbh. If this is the 2013 Finals Heat with a decrepit Wade I think Lakers in 6 maybe 7. Wade had one turn back the clock game in G4 where he dropped 30 and turned the series around. The Lakers aren't gonna be able to handle it if he's playing like that all series at decent health and Lebron is playing his peak basketball next to him
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

1. The 2013 Spurs were better than the 2009 Lakers. The 2013 Heat beat the 2013 Spurs. Therefore, the 2013 Heat beat the 2009 Lakers.

2. While the Heat did struggle in the 2013 ECF vs. David West and Roy Hibbert, Pau and Odom were more finesse bigs.

3. Who guards LeBron James? 23 year old Trevor Ariza? No.

4. Miami's pace-and-space offense would torch LA from deep.

5. The Lakers' bench was lowkey terrible. There's Lamar Odom and...who exactly? Against Miami's: Norris Cole, Ray Allen, Mike Miller, Shane Battier, and Birdman. Miami was legitimately 9 deep.

This right here.

The Lakers dominated the Western Conference from 2008-2010 because no one had the size to match up to them, or to keep the Lakers from dominating the boards.

I don't think the 2013 Heat have the size or shooting to defeat the Lakers in a 7 game series

If it's playoff Heat then it's probably a 7 game series that could go either way. If it's RS not injured Wade Heat then they probably take it in 5-6.

I prefer Miami's style of play (smaller/faster), they beat a better opponent in the Spurs than either Lakers champion in my opinion and they are slightly deeper

I think the 2013 team struggled mightily against teams that had bigs, now add that the team they are playing is a team that has a great wing then Miami would struggle. I mean they literally were behind against the Spurs with 36 year old Duncan, young Kawhi, old Manu and Parker battling a hamstring and then went 7 vs the Pacers when George really wasn't a star and Hibbert played like a star. Tough to see how they win vs Bynum and Gasol and then adding in Kobe as well.
