I liked what I saw out of Levert and Kurucs but the team is pretty similar to last year and we're gonna need players to step up their intensity level in the regular season.

From the clips I've seen, it's not timing. He just turns, extends his arms & crouches bit, and watches the ball. When the ball goes up, he needs to find a body, hit it & then turn, so that he can create more space. He's got to push/keep whoever he's boxing out out of the lane.

37 seconds into the full highlights. He starts boxing out Kanter while in the restricted circle.

It's his timing. See what he is doing is he is trying to out-talent the opponent that's why he ends up getting stuck ball-watching when it comes down to rebounding the ball. In other words what he ends up happening is he is putting all of his efforts and energy to get into a better position by trying to out-muscle against a bigger and stronger opponent. Which is why a more physically bigger player always dominates him. Not saying he shouldn't fight for position which is still important. It's just that he needs to realize how to use his agility, high vertical leap and long wingspan at the right time in order to beat the timing against a bigger player. He needs to watch tapes of Chris Bosh and see how he survive playing as a Center at 220 pounds in the Heat.

He just needs to initiate contact instead of standing & letting guys get a running start.

RHJ, Napier, Faried, Musa all should help once they get healthy. We still haven’t seen anything yet.

Allen needs to hit a body as soon as the ball goes up into the air.

Exactly. Try to extend rebounding space, not simply maintain it.
