President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Hope nobody minds my asking, but whose locker was Jeff's next to in Cleveland last year? Did that guy get better?

How about the year before in Orlando? What effect did Jeff have on the guy with the neighboring locker?

Then there's the prior year, when he ended the season with the Clippers. Was he there long enough to improve the guy one locker over? Or, earlier that year as part of the Grizzlies?

The previous year he was w/ the Grizzlies part of the season as well. Did that give him a jump on improving the player who got dressed next to him?

Before that it was Boston for 2 full years & 2 half-years at the beginning and end: was he too young at that point? Or was he a premature veteran, already enhancing the play of whoever had the locker to the left or right of him?

Which brings up another question: in which direction does Jeff have a bigger influence? Does he help the guy to his left but not the guy to his right?

Or is he predominantly effective in passing skills/experience to his right?

Or, is it like... one year to the left the next to the right? You know, just to be fair?

Maybe he's an ambidextrous improver?

Another thing... I don't think we should underestimate the effect a veteran like Jeff can have on the player with the neighboring parking spot at the arena.

Do we know whose cars are to the left & right of Jeff Green's car?

Just found out that some guy named LeBron James had the locker next to Green in Cleveland...and boy did he have one hell of a season.

Seriously though, PIF, I hope you’re not dismissing (or mocking) the idea that most people, especially young people, are influenced by those they acquaint with and/or look up to, and those who have their ear.

The osmosis effect.

Knowledge and ability oozes from adjacent space. I get it...

Somebody on the Lakers to the left and/or right of Lebron James is going to be really good all of a sudden.

Jaren Jackson looking good - how many picks away were we from picking Jackson?

Deandre Ayton also which isn't a surprise.

4th.
Jackson was my top rated big with Ayton & Bamba a tad below.
Never saw the hype with Bagley. High Floor, but he'll never make an AS team.

I had Jackson as a Bosh type player and Carter as a Horford type player.

It's still early and things can definitely change but the signs are pointing to this year's lottery being much better than last year's. Granted the thing with lottery picks is they're usually given more leeway on bad teams and get exposed a bit after a while but in the case of 2017 the extra year has helped them a bit - Fox is looking better now, Fultz is at least playing, that sort of thing. Just anecdotally looking at how the top 5 picks from this year are playing against the top 5 picks from last year and the disparity is massive. And while Mitchell was a very good pick, guys like SGA and Bridges have a shot to be an equivalent steal. The 2017 draft compares better to other drafts once you get into the 20s but the front end looks bad so far.

I think all 4 of the bigs - JJJ, Ayton, Bagley, and Bamba are going to be outstanding and also had JJJ #1 in the draft. Don't dismiss Bagley; I think he'll be the best scorer of the bunch, and he's a big guy at 6'11 who's not as bad defensively as people think. Carter's going to be good, but I think he's farther away than the others - particularly defensively.
