Re: 2018 Postseason Thread
finishing off the top of the 4th, Clayton's got his pitch count at 39. going into the bottom of the 4th, Anibal Sanchez's got his pitch count at 55 with 0-0-0 on the board.
I say we can potentially see a complete game Kershaw tonight and that, has got better probability at this point than Anibal finishing the 6th inning without giving up more runs.

Traffic.
Living in Western Wisconsin = no traffic ever....Unless it’s July 4th and people are headed to the lake.
Gift and a curse if you ask me but just a curse if it makes you miss game time.

ahh forget this prediction. Kershaw's pitch count maybe under control but his legs are already gone from all that defensive runnings, then getting hit in back of his leg, then going right back out on the next defensive play.

Re: 2018 Postseason Thread
well, at least I was right about Anibal giving up more runs before finishing the 6th... but still don't think Kershaw will, or at this point with 3 run lead, should finish the game. get to the 7th and we will see from there on.

you know, I really have not watched as many games I usually do this year, let alone any minor league stuff between a couple of big life changing experiences, but Yaz does seem like the guy that I always thought he was. a streaky power hitter with elite framing ability with passball issues, but overall far more +++s than ---s. luckly unlike last season, he isn't slumping at the worst time.

Yes on Yasmani
Yeah, Yasmani has been a stable presence at catcher for us, but maybe that's more of a function of not relying on him as much with all the power hitters all over our lineup. It's all the more important given the surprising collapse to Austin Barnes's effectiveness this season.

Reduced Kershaw.
Disrespected and dissed Kershaw.
Game 2 starting Kershaw.
Getting ready to go into the 8th inning for the first time in his October career.
Dare I say the initials CG?
Hmmmmm

Key to Kershaw's Reinvigoration?
I've always thought this would come later in a few years, but I've been thinking if Kershaw's velocity would benefit from changing his wind-up to doing away with his mid-motion pause. Of course, Kershaw benefits from throwing off the hitter's timing and hiding the ball well with his current wind-up, plus, not to mention that it's been his routine for practically his entire career.
Odds are he'd likely hurt his performance more than help it, especially in the short term. It's not even a given that he'd even make the eventual adjustment, but I think his workhorse mentality would allow for that. The problem is can he and the team deal with the growing pains during his proposed adjustment period?
I'm not advocating that he actually do this, but it's been something on my mind for a while even before Kershaw's significant drop in velocity.

Return of Clayton's Curve
It's nice to see Kershaw use his curveball effectively again. This was sorely missing from him last season.
