I posted some Joker passing highlights in the around the NBA thread but I wonder if we can run some plays like that too....

I don't know if we have ever passed the ball to Ayton up top And I know he hasn't attempted a 3 yet...

But by all accounts hes a pretty good passer and can knock down the 3 ball sometimes. Id like to see if we can run a few plays like that time to time. Pull the big man out of the lane to guard Ayton while he makes an entry pass or take a 3 if the big man sags off...

Theres been a few times Ayton could have been passed the ball around the perimeter...

Cool stat but like mine stats, a percentage of that was during garbage time.

It's a good thing that draft is full of great wings....and an undersized PF who can't shoot but can dunk.

Maybe Jontay Porter will eventually be our point (power) forward and we won't need a PG...though he is projected at 10th.

Though soon enough people could be saying Barrett, Reddish or Little is who we need . Hopefully not because we are set there. We have enough options.

Though of course you don't pass on super talent....or at least that should be McD's thoughts on the matter...seems like he put it into practice, but easy with top pick.

Are you the same person who talked about Joker a night or two ago not having realized how good he is? Joker is awesome. He went' 5th overall in our fantasy draft....out of ALL players. The dude is a C who can score, get 10 assists...probably one of best passers in league, hit 3s, shoot...he is the top C by RPM...and this wasn't on one of the best teams which RPM helps...by far the most impactful C on offense, largely due to his passing, but he can also score inside and out and rebound. He is one of the most fun, if not the most fun players to watch in the league...that is why I always talk about Denver...because they have a point center surrounded by great shooters who are all good passers too.

They should be super entertaining to watch. Not great defensively, but for our standards, not bad.

one benefit of still having Tyson Chandler around is that now he can mentor Ayton from the bench. it was less worthwhile with Len, but if Ayton wants to learn to be an elite defender, hard to think of someone more qualified to teach him than a former DPOY. Skill wise, there’s no comparison between Ayton and Len, so I think Tyson has a lot more to work with as a mentor.

Ayton`s defence has improved considerably from summer league, to the point of no real feelings of irritation by his actions on that side of the court anymore.

At least 6 years of Ayton and Booker ?!? Sign me up !
