The details are interesting, but as J-Wiz said, it's pretty much what most of us already thought, and most of those who didn't already assume as much are probably incapable of absorbing this information, as the NY Times prints nothing but lies and an occasional story that Trump and minions like, and they all spout it out as the undisputed truth, because it's THE TIMES! Yeah, for sure. I just think it confirms what we all knew and what lots of Deplorables deny - that Trump isn't some intelligent self-made billionaire. Nate has said numerous times that Trump is clearly intelligent because he couldn't have been such a successful businessperson without being natively intelligent in his own way. In old Hollywood movies, they would have "foreign born" exotics remove all the articles from sentences so that you could 1) clearly see that, in addition to the flamboyant accent, the speaker was supposed to be speaking English as a second language, and 2) you could clearly understand what the speaker was saying, as they spoke in complete sentences, except for the absence of articles and a few other helper words. In reality, most speakers would not get stuck on the, it's, a, etc., but on the more specific words that follow. It is, how you say in America, not impossible but understandably implausible and yet nonetheless entertaining? We are the world Goc, you and I.

Donald Trump’s instinct was right. A loyal FBI is worth a purge or two.

Case in point: Brett Kavanaugh is an associate justice on the Supreme Court.

FBI Director Christopher Wray, installed after Trump fired James Comey for refusing to limit the scope of the Russia investigation, said and did nothing as the White House ordered limits on a reopened background check of Kavanaugh.

The bureau agreed not to interview Kavanaugh or Christine Blasey Ford, who accused him of sexually assaulting her, or to respond to many people stepping forward with new information. They agreed not to follow up on possible lies Kavanaugh is accused of telling in his Senate testimony. And they made other concessions unknown to the public or even Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

According to the New York Times’s reporting, White House lawyer Don McGahn made sure relevant questions went deliberately unexplored because, he believed, “a wide-ranging inquiry like some Democrats were demanding — and Mr. Trump was suggesting — would be potentially disastrous for Judge Kavanaugh’s chances of confirmation to the Supreme Court.”

Pretty funny. Interesting claim that West wore the MAGA hat the entire week on the set and no one was harassing him at all. Interesting if true and it makes some sense. Some people perceive "harassment," "conspiracy," "censorship," etc. that is not there, because some people (particularly as a minority) aren't comfortable with disagreement, and feel compelled to call it something more than disagreement to better explain their discomfort. Might be the same for a liberal in rural Indiana.

this is a good point. and as i tried to express in the blasey ford discussion for 2 weeks. Some times we perceive assault that is not there either. Or percieved slights. or perceived censorship.

And these "perceived" slights, assaults, censorship, harrassment etc. does NOT make it any less real or feel any less real to the person perceiving the slight, the harrassment, the assault. etc. That may very well be their reality. And there might not be any harrassment, slight, assault, at all. Or there very well might be a real and actual occurrence of harassment, slight, assault, censorship.

That's why we have the presumption of innocence. That's why we have reasonable doubt. that's why we have juries of 12 common folk as our peers to find us guilty or innocent to hopefully bring some common sense to the equation.

The problem is and remains that we have too many laws written in general technicalities in such a way so as to confuse the public in general and give over zealous prosecutors too much freedom to witch hunt when they have a hard on for a specific target. Especially tax laws. Or finance laws in general. (if you mis spell your address or mis calculate the square footage of your home, however slightly) on tax or loan document you can be prosecuted. And its easy to prosecute. And its easy to further trip up a target with lying...because the FBI or any federal agent can ask a question like did you lie on your loan application? And you say no, then they say, but you listed your square foot on your home as 1500sf but there is actually 1400 sf. And then they have you on 2 crime. Lying to a federal agent and bank and loan fraud. and likely tax fraud based on the sf of your home.

^^^and not to get too much off of your topic monte, but we are going to end up in a place where no one is going to talk to the FBI. Or any federal agent. Or even the police. except people that are purposefully trying to throw them off a particular trail. We are slowly but surely and fully and entirely subverting and perverting our justice system.


There is also this element of 15 minutes of fame and large fortunes and fame is waiting for you if you play your cards right. Christine Blasey Ford has now raised almost $1,000,000. Blasey Ford could possibly win a seat in congressional seat in california right now. Or become a high paid women's rights spokesperson. And she may have never even been in a house with Brett Kavanaugh ever. <--that is a real possibility. Our Judicial confirmation was completely hi jacked for almost 2 weeks. We have democrats running on resist and obstruct by any means necessary now talking about impeaching kavanaugh. just to keep the far left faction of their base motivated to get out and vote. This is all about power and nothing more. This is all about winning at all costs.

We cant keep going like this. Fame is worth too much money right now. Its almost impossible to not make money with fame. And large amounts. We need a better vetting process. and we need harsh laws against those that allow fame seekers to make false claims.

You know...as sports fans...let me take you guys back to the 1970's. We had streakers at every sporting event. Sometime 2-3. Why? Because they played them on TV or on the News. And if the streaker was successful, they were often interviewed on the nightly news.

Eventually the problem of streaking was so bad that games were delayed and momentum stolen. Eventually even the athletes got mad and often tackled the streakers which i thought was weird. Now I get it. Those athletes, were like this is my fame you are attempting to steal and the more fame and the more beloved I am to my fans, the more money i will earn. So what did they do? They installed police stations in every single venue and stopped filming the streakers. Stopped intwrviewing the streakers. They took away their 15 minutes of fame. And the streakers stopped streaking.

But now...with social media. everyone has become a streaker. And its so much more than streaking. Now we are dealing with perceived slights, perceived assaults where witnesses are named and those witnesses dont even recall meeting the "perpetrator" and worse dont even recall the party, the house, the event. Nothing.

And the assault may have occurred. and it may not have occurred. We dont know. But the so called victim is now $1,000,000 wealthier and a household name of which she can launch a platform and build an entire career that will further her fame and pay her much more than her previous career. Not unlike Stormy daniels and Micheal avenatti.<--i'm not sure we want to reward these type of fame seekers and money seekers. And liberals need to figure out what to do when this shoe is on the other foot. Because conservative news is catching up. Liberals no longer have free reign of the media where they can bury the stories of Obama(or corey booker or kamala harris or elizabeth warren) doing coke all weekend long from what might be nothing more than other fame seekers.

I think we need to do somethign about this. we also need harsher penalties for leakers with political agendas VS a true "watchdog" leaker. I'm all for a non-political watchdog leaker. But if its political? I dont want it. Obama came down harsh on leakers. Extremely harsh. And he was right. Trump needs to do the same. The entire DOJ needs to do the same...and the DOJ of all places cant be doing the leaking to undermine an incoming administration for political gain. <--i mean that's just insane. INSANE!!!

Our government institutions and processes are being undermined at an alarming rate. and with alarming circulation. all for political gain or loss. It needs to stop. the media must forced into being accurate. Libel laws must make it easier to sue both false accusers and the media for disseminating lies or false reports. Anything that is uncorroborated by video, audio, or other material witnesses must be strongly labeled as such <-like a pack of cigarettes: a big fat red banner covering at least 50% of the page or screen that reads: "this story is entirely uncorroborated and likely contains lies or distortions of the facts."

None of us know what happened obviously. But let's not act like she did not get her 15 min of fame, have celebrities and social media junkies praise her name. She could very well be a staunch pro choicer who did this as a way of making sure Roe v Wade was in tact forever, with maybe even more lenient verbiage. I tend to believe anyone that would hire Aventti has to be questioned vehemetly, so the third woman's claims should eb taken with a grain of salt, not to mention she went to my alma mater Gaithersburg High school, that alone speaks volumes.
