Pretty good game. Felt like both sides were going for it the whole 90minutes. Salah continues to struggle, and gave away that pass that directly led to a goal, but other than that....Liverpool looked very strong defensively.

This was a good team we beat today. Klopp looks to have built something legit here.

Sturridge had a nice goal. Good on him. We need Salah to get back to form. Couple huge games coming up. I wouldn't be upset if Salah went off.

He's not exactly playing like it. I'm not sure if he really deserves that title.

agree with you 100%

Watching Man city play so badly yesterday evening you lot must be feeling a little more confident in the PL. You have been oustanding (apart from in the Leicester match  ) this season.

Easily the most enjoyable team to watch in the PL (with possibly Wolves the second most :o )
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Not with Chelsea doing bits but we were pretty poor v Crystal Palace, Leicester and Brighton Hove but put in good performances v PSG, Spurs and West Ham.

Our thing is about health. If we stay healthy we have a shot but would still put Chelsea and City ahead of us.

Really impressed that we gritted that one out. You all know I don't like those ties....but at Chel$ea, you take it.

I think they were the better team though, tbh. Salah needs a week or two off, I think. Alot of guys were pretty quiet that 2nd half. I look forward to (hopefully) getting past MC with some sort of points...and then perhaps we can rest a player or two each week, for the next month or so. Schedule picks up again mid-Dec. Would be good to have guys get a break, however short.

What a goalie kit, eh? =0)
The 'pink vs masculine' thing aside completely....that sh** was BRIGHT!! If I were the Alisson, I'd go to Klopp, and be like "I'm not really wearing this, am I?" Their guy was lime-green.....bright as F** himself. Goalies got hosed on the uniform that game.

Glad we got booted from whatever cup that was......keep the focus where it aughta be. Let's give it to MC next weekend, and take it from there.

Cactus....you ready for another NBA season? I think your boys will do it again. I can't stand Carmello personally....so I think the Rockets got way worse by losing Ariza and picking him up.

Celtics might make it interesting.

Looking forward to my team not sucking. It's been a minute! Jeez.....5 years? 5 long years of sucking. Can't wait to stick it to that semi-franchise that shares a city with us.

Watching preseason highlights as I type. So glad the season is about to start.

Well.....after that PK in the 85th minute, I guess you have to be happy with that draw. If we're drawing with the top 2-3 clubs, I am not gonna lose my sh** over it. I felt like that was a PK. Yeah.....I do think he prob ever so slightly nicked the ball with is toe....but the ball never changed direction. If he did touch it, it was a whisker at best......you can't fault the ref for giving that, real time /speed from 35-40 feet away. Homie went to ground like a sack of rocks.....but that's our game now.

My frustration yesterday, was that here we are....finally with the defense and mid-field to hold strong against just about anyone, and our offense has completely nose-dived this season. Salah....Mane, come on guys!!! You play 80% to the form of last year, and we prob win yesterday! F**** man, why's it always gotta be something???!!!?!!

Anyhow....we've crossed most of the best teams off our list (first go 'round, of course), and we're still tied for first. But dammit, we need our front to get back in form.

2 get two weeks rest here. Been playing twice a week for a bit. This will be much needed rest. Let's see if we can't figure out what the hell is going on with our offense. We get that back on track like last year.....and I really think we can do this.

You have to win your home games to win the league.

Drawing away to the top few teams is acceptable but not winning at home is 2 points dropped and one given away.

Puts Mancs back in the driving seat.

I think the struggles of the front 3 are quite understandable.

Remember, last season we had Coutinho (until mid-season) and then Oxlade-Chamberlain (who is still recovering from a torn ACL). As a result, unlike last season we have no creative midfielder who can take pressure off of and help create opportunities for our front 3. Right now, we mostly play through our wing back position, which can be quite stagnant if they're not consistently trying to draw attention and force defenders to collapse on them when they have the ball. (This is why we had so few solid opportunities against MC on Sunday.)

Teams are clearly marking Salah as a response to his dominance last season.

Think about who Klopp wanted between last year and this offseason: Keïta, Fabinho, Fekir, and Alisson (although I don't think we would've got Alisson if our goalies didn't screw up at the most inopportune times last season). Aside from Alisson, it's clear that Klopp wanted to upgrade the midfield.

Keïta is starting to gain more playing time but he doesn't have the ball much when he's on.

Fabinho is apparently still adjusting to Klopp's style so that's why he hasn't played much.

We all know that the Fekir deal went south, although I'm sure if the offense continues to struggle, Klopp will probably be forced to pay a premium fee to acquire Fekir during the winter break.

If and when we get Fekir or Ox is 100% healthy, we'll once again have too much offensive firepower for teams to handle.

Agreed.

While a tie is better than a loss (which would've been likely had Mahrez not skied the PK), LIV still needs to at least get a tie at MC to break even for the season series.

We've played Tottenham(A), Chelsea(A) and City(H) and have 20/24 points. I don't think we can be disappointed. I'm worried about our performances though. We've put together maybe 2 complete games all year and half here and half there but if you offered me 20/24 to start the season I'd have signed up.

God it feels like a month since our last game. They really schedule this stuff oddly.

Huddersfield? Did I say it right? It's something like that. I've never heard of them. Hope its a good game, and we come out with 3 points. Some fancy sh** would be cool....and it would be nice to see Salah get back to form, but if we get 3....I'll be happy.

Where have the goals gone?

I was dreaming of a Fabinho-Keita-Fekir midfield this summer and we just started Henderson-Milner-Lallana. Please make it stop.
