Butler has been in touch with several teammates including Taj Gibson and Josh Okogie.

Okogie and not Tyus? Interesting I thought Tyus was the only guy besides Taj that Jimmy liked.

Lmao. The one guy on the Jump said..why not milk the clock..even if there's a 1/8 chance Jimmy returns..and is engaged..until your owner (Glen Taylor) comes in your office with a baseball bat and says we need to move on

 hilarious imagining Taylor with a baseball bat swinging at Thibs

I would continue to wait..let him report to training and see if we can solve the situation.
Unless of course finally someone comes up with a decent offer...which is definitely not the garbage MIA or HOU have offered so far!!!

Love these sports journalists ... they get snarky when a bigger trade sputters. For a while they get to play the expert in explaining why the deal is good, why it's happening, and then why it's held up, etc. Eventually, they start to feel & look like clowns for not really knowing anything, and ultimately, they have become clowns. :clown:

Maybe they could simply suggest some reality, "while Butler has made the Wolves better, he has asked to be traded. A sucky deal and tall task in the short-term, so we hope he realizes that he may still need to play out the season if teams are unwilling to pony up for his services". But they go on and on and on day after day trying insinuate and theorize so they can try to create some noise and be relevant. I think many are caught off guard that the Wolves haven't caved for a mediocre deal.
Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"

Exactly.

We talkin bout practice. PRACTICE! Not a game, practice!

Im not even trying to go full AI on it. I just think its funny when these people have these delusions that these players should literally have no lives and wake up and practice until they go to bed. Notice none of these people would ever criticize Jimmy Butler going off to venice, rome, greece etc, its been beaten into their head how hard he works so hes allowed to be a normal human being and enjoy his life off the court.

But them vidya games! rot yer brain! You should be in the gym!

Wow you are totally lost on this discussion. Its gonna take a lot for someone to explain what we are talking about. NO ONE is talking about going on vacation or when you are sitting home by yourself with nothing to do.

I like BAM as well but who goes with him in a trade if we don't get JRich.

Not sure, i'd take on a bad contract like Dion if it meant getting Bam; I think he'd be perfect next to KAT for years to come

I still thing Gordon/Tucker/Qi is a better deal than anything Miami has to offer outside of Jrich and Bam

I guess a Waiters, Winslow BAM, and a first round pick would work.

Neither HOU nor MIA is even offering a Top 50 asset. Any lottery pick from a different team is worth more than these guys, and none have much chance of being half the star Jimmy Butler is.

I would stop dealing with MIA until they stopped complaining about which scraps they demand to keep, and any further leaking means there will be no trade with them whatsoever. People can rightfully complain about the confusion with the Wolves front office, but all these Heat sources knocking the Wolves in an attempt to gain leverage is unprofessional, and should not be rewarded with further trading.

A few of the Heat posters have been more professional than their front office.

Miami doesn't have any leverage on this one.
If they want Butler they have to pay. Is not like they can get Butler in free agency (they can't)

Geeez And I thought the only deal with Miami that would make some sense had to incluide Dieng as well...

And now they say Miami doesn't want to incluide Richardson? Wait... Josh "freaking" Richardson?
And...
Taking Waiters? Fxxx that.

Hey heat fan, do you remember our roster that worked out together before Butler got here which included the same Wiggins/Towns? Probably not. Where was Jeff Teague this summer? He wasnt on the team? From the sounds of it Gibson worked out with Butler, doesnt sound like much of a leader to me, doesnt sound like somebody who his teammates even want on the team.

See we had chemistry, our players worked out together and liked each other, then Thibs and Butler came. So I am anxious to rid our team of him even for the scraps you can offer. I will laugh at whatever franchise trades assets to sign this guy long term.

My face watching the "untouchable" players on the Heat during this Magic game right now

PS - To any Heat fans that might reply to this, I know it's pre season and Richardson and Bam just came back

I know that Mia fans say & according to reports Mia won't consider Bam &/or JRich both in a deal for JB.....but I'm not sure if Thibs will consider anything less & we all get the arguments about leverage, etc. But what would Mia fans say they need in conjunction of just JB to give up both (not saying it's fair value, but we're @ the point that it's better for all involved to just get to a final deal).

Would WCS help coming back from Sac in a 3-team deal (could see possibly a Winslow for WCS as part of that deal to make it wash)? How many of their bad deals would need to be included to get JB & expirings & which ones do you rank as the worst? Personally, I'd rank them as Waiters--1; Johnson--2; Whiteside--3; Johnson or Olynik (maybe neither of these by themselves that bad...but both on the same team gets difficult....different type of players but still seems redundant to be paying both of them)--4?
