This. Luke said the other day that most of what we do is based around Lonzo’s game

Link? I can’t believe this is true

Spectrum Sportsnet the other day, Lakers Insider or alike... I’ll look for a link. Maybe I remember incorrectly but I was a little bit taken by what he said and how casually he said it, as if self evident.
Since the 1976 merger LAL 11, CHI 6, BOS 6, SAS 5, GSW 4

So most of our game is based on a sophomore. Why? I'd get it if it was Ingram or Kuzma even, but Ball, he's a distant third in terms of production from the youngsters.

He’s a key player to our game on both sides. It’s obvious if you watched him pre injury.

Game plan: Defense, rebound, run for the layup/alley-hoop/dunk, or start half court position less motion offense.

Lonzo is an elite defender, elite rebounder, elite passer. This despite the fact that he’s only about to start year two and still has zits.

He’s a big part of our future. What’s so controversial?

I've long gotten the impression that despite the brouhaha with Lavar, Lonzo is a big reason LeBron was intrigued by the Lakers...
I'm not sure I completely get it, but I do believe that without Lonzo, we may not have LeBron.

So I'm not surprised at all if Luke said that.

That said, I'm not sure it means anything... Lonzo passes on the break and defends well... You don't really need to revamp your entire game plan to accommodate that. It's the right thing to say by a Coach who's concerned about a young kid who's been out for a long time and his mental state coming back.
Never have rice at Hanzo's house...
