He is dominating every game! No one can stop him. He looks to be in much better shape from summer league. That takes work!

He looks fluid, natural and smooth. He's starting to look more comfortable rolling to the basket and posting up. His jumper is already money and catching lobs is easy for him.

We got our franchise center. Finally!!!!!

Ayton and Booker are the real deal fam!

I never doubted him.

Ayton's skill set is incredible. Back to the basket, mid range jumper, defense, passing, rebounding.

Instincts. He anticipated a couple steals last night - the Warriors were really surprised both times he intercepted a pass, and he didn't gamble on anything (no missed steal attempts). He makes the quick, correct pass over and over. I'm sold on this guy as an all-time great. I don't know where he'll end up on the list of top 10 centers all-time; I'm just sure he'll be on it when all's said and done.

I don't think this an exaggeration. I have been an NBA fan for more than 40 years and it is so rare to see this type of maturity in a young big man.

So glad we did not trade him for KAT.

I think one of my biggest fears with Ayton is that he wasn't a shot blocker even through he has long arms and good jumping ability; I am very pleased that I am wrong with his shot blocking ability so far. I think he still needs to work on his weak side shot blocking ability and every once in while he needs to send the ball out into the stands to show that he wont let that weak stuff in.

Next off season should work on becoming a threat off the dribble. Few times this pre season noticed him ace up his defender and it would have been easier to power dribble to the basket rather than take a low % mid range.

Weak side shot blocking is the least of my concerns. Being able to straight up guard the rim is what is most important. I am quite amazed at how many times he not only blocks the shot but flat out takes the ball away while he is doing it. That is a rare skill.

Most of the time when Ayton is blocking a shot it is the person who he guarding on a switch or a drive. I want to see him learn to come from the weak side clean up an issue that arose. I am very happy with his blocks so far as he seem to keep them in play and creating a turn over from them.

Is a blocked shot tallied as a steal if it creates a turnover? It should be.

I remember looking this up for Oliver Miller way back in the day and was kind of disappointed that it didnt count as a steal.

If you block it and take possession, it counts as a block and a rebound.

I can't stop watching Ayton highlights. He's putting up like 20-11 and 2.5blk in under 30min on absurd percentages, WITHOUT Booker there and without a PG.

We finally got a franchise C. Feels good.

If Deandre maintains this level of production in the regular season, he'll be an All-Star, and might even make an All-NBA team. :o
