And remember, those Charlotte picks will likely be in the 30-40 range in years when high school players will be eligible. So those picks could potentially be some pretty good players. I never saw Wily as a good fit next to KP long term, definitely not how Mitch will. And like the above poster mentioned, he asked to be traded. So who cares about this guy. Is he better than Okafor? Okafor is playing on a league minimum deal, so it’s conceivable that we could find comparable talent and “upside” on the cheap. If there is a blame to be placed on Pills, they shoulda traded Wily the second we got Kanter but no one saw him thoroughly being outplayed by two back ups.
Who needs a Wily when you could have a Mitch?

Trading a prospect with promise to keep vets who cost more is not rebuilding.

I wouldn’t bank on those picks being in the 30-40 range. Kemba will still be good & they have some prospects who could materialize by then.

Actually thought it made him a bit better, he was thrown into schemes he was uncomfortable with a lot, and then started to show growth in his struggle areas late in the college season.

His growth in those struggle areas plus being able to perform more freely, has him looking decent.

Being realistic here... Do you honestly think WHG has much of a chance to be more impactful than Kanter who is still relatively young? The only reason to keep Willy around was the relative low cost and his relationship with KP. He has one of the most replaceable skillset archetypes in the league. Guys like WHG grow on trees. Hell we have 3 bigs on the roster that are better/more valuable than him right now anyway.

He's going to win that starting spot... KCP is another THJr. type player, didn't see that defense he was prided on, and understood why the Pistons didn't overpay him.

It goes to show you, Wolves owner and GM Scott "How did I get another job?" Layden have NO CLUE on how to build a winner. We can now confirm KA Towns is an individual stat monster but doesn't make anyone better around him. We can also confirm the Wolves will regret keeping Wiggins and not selling when his stock was more attractive.

I think these super teams are also a product of other franchises trying to hard to please the post millennials. It's all about rubbing their man-gina.

I don’t care how dysfunctional minni’s generally been. Butler is just killing his value at this point. He clearly has attitude problems if he can’t just conduct himself professionally until a deal is made. It’s to the point where I don’t think i’d want him on the knicks even as a free agent now.

I’m sorry, but i can’t see KAT being this guy who doesn’t work hard. Maybe he doesn’t have the “killer instinct loud demeanor” that butler seems to have. that doesn’t mean he can’t be a superstar winning player. This guy went from a humble “let my game do the talking” to not shutting up. I’m not saying be a drone personality-wise, but he’s a flat out disruption these days.
