Or guys decide not to put up shots with embiid around the paint. Saw plenty of games where opposing players just dribble around the paint and dribble right back out.

Vs someone like Kristaps Porzingis who has high block rate cause they challenging him since they don’t think he’s physical enough

I think it's a bit of both.

Also I think it's fair to say he's less crazy aggressive now that he's not on a minutes/b2b restriction.

I wonder how Embiid and Simmons would feel about trading for Butler if it cost us Fultz .

Probably similar to how Embiid felt about trading Nerlens and Okafor. I feel like he was friends with both of them.

I think Simmons would have the problem, not Embiid.

I disagree Butler like to take the last shot and allows Simmons to be the all around Pippen type player . Butler goes hard . Simmons and Embiid would love that here. He would stir the organization in the right direction.

How much more can his usage go up? He already is at historic levels.

I think that his energy just needs to be spent smarter in the sense that he should be fighting for position early, getting the ball quicker, and making his move quicker. Don’t spend his energy so much after he has the ball.

If his fitness level is really improved then he could be more consistent with his effort/energy.

This along with his focus on dominating inside should lead to him being among the league leaders in scoring, rebounding, free throws taken, and blocks.

Taking 3’s is an added benefit in my mind and should only be done when trailing on the break or specifically spacing the paint when Fultz or Simmons is driving to the basket.

Embiid is the least of our problems in the end. As long as he stays healthy he is going to end the season as a top 5-7 player in the league.

The variables are in Simmons’ and Fultz’s games.

His usage rate will go down a lot if he can just cut down the turnovers. Those "count."

Less dribbling, more passing, and less tunnel vision when he gets the ball in the low post.

Be selective on post possessions and more post possessions due to mismatches off screenplays.

The reason why he turns it over and over dribbles are because he needs to think/work complicated because of tough defense.

Not exactly same case. But look at Tatum under Brad’s system. If Tatum is defended by great defender, he becomes a spot up shooter. If Tatum is defended by a small guard like Brogdon, Jj or Beli, then he tries to abuse them.

Embiid's mistake-prone game is a result of his limitless talent. Once he settles into himself as a player, I think he will become more efficient. I don't think he has a low basketball IQ.

This plus being a relative newcomer to the sport. He hasn't settled on his bread and butter moves other than the baseline faceup J and the recently added post step-through. He can do anything so he tries everything rather than narrowing his offensive scope.

Just read espn article about mvp and dpoy etc predictions for 2018-2019

http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24961747/expert-predictions-mvp-rookie-year-coach-year-more-nba-award-picks

Strange embiid got zero votes for dpoy and mvp.

No love for Simmons either.

The national media and casual fans still don’t give Embiid the respect he deserves because they assume he won’t be healthy.

If he plays a full season this year, this should be the last year where he is discounted because he is going to average 28 and 12-14 rebounds this year on a 55 win team while contending for DPOY,

I have said it before. Embiid should spend less time trying to play like Shaq bully ball, which he is not good at, and more time like Kareem with an assortment or hook shots and short jumpers. Would be more efficient getting less blocked at the rim and spend alot less energy banging by the basket only to get blocked anyway

The issue is the way he tries to score when posting up, he just goes up and tries to outsize the other player, instead of using his footwork and do a jump hook, it is embarrasing to be blocked more than one time by Horford who is much smaller. I remember some talk years ago about training with Hakeem but nothing of that has happened and he badly needs it.

I don't even think his reported wingspan was that great, but dude is so stout, strong and smart. Incredible basketball player to have on your team, from a coaching perspective.
