How effed is Houston for not willing to part with PJ if the rumors are true?

If we do the deal with Houston for EG and PJ only, I'm done until Thibs and Layden are gone.

Thanks.
Just plain dumb unless the are trying to gage the reception. At this point, he needs to just stay away. It's not helping for him to be running his mouth telling the locker room he's not coming back. Didn't he refuse Rubio access to the locker room last year?
I may buy a ticket to the first game and Boo until my throat is sore. :o (Cheapest seat in the house and bet courtside is wide open.)

I have a hard time believing that Rockets rumor and that WE want Gordon and Tucker and they’re the ones who don’t want to give up PJ.

Just because you have a check mark next to your twitter name, doesn’t mean you’re not full of ****.

No other credible reporter has tweeted out that the Wolves are the ones asking for Tucker/Gordon, cause if so, Thibs and Layden are the biggest idiot combo i’ve seen

This whole thing is a **** show and it’s because of social media; Thibs and Layden have kept this pretty tight lipped. It’s the media trying to twist all this **** and it’s getting ridiculous.

Wolves and Heat fans just want all of this to be over

Gordon and Tucker is the only deal that can work. No one is taking Brandon Knight in a deal for Butler. That's what's crazy about the whole thing. The media is tossing all kind of crap out their and logically, these teams are already limited. No one is going to hand the Rockets assets to use in deal with the Wolves. So, unless they're packaging Chris Paul and Harden in some type of deal, what other options do they have outside of Gordon, Tucker and picks.

And do what?

Make a trade with someone else to shed cap and sign him.

What? Do you think you have enough assets on your team to get $30 mil under the cap, or about $50 mil under your current position?

MIA should not consider “signing Jimmy in free agency” a legitimate avenue.

Could do Gordon, Knight, Marquese Chriss, Nene and a first for Butler, Dieng and Patton.

No one is going to hand them anything then why should we take their crap?

If you walk to the cashier with a T-Bone steak, but only have enough for a hot dog, are you entitled to that steak?
If the rockets can't come up with more, they should respectfully stop talking with us.

I agree, that It's not ideal, but it is a deal that keeps us competitive the next couple of years. It would have to include future draft picks, like 2020, 2021 and beyond. I don't want anything from them while they are finishing in the 29th and 30th place of the draft. My argument was more so center around the fact that Houston really doesn't have other options other than those two players that would be close to reasonable for the Wolves.

Well then lets take Houston out of it. That's what I am saying. Draft history here is terrible. So why waste 2-3 more years of Towns and have another KLove situation? If Houston doesn't have enough, time to move on. I would rather talk to LA about Harris str8 up before that crap.

Because a trade request doesn't mean a player is just going to sit at home twiddling his thumbs until he is traded. He's still a member of the team until he isn't.

This may have been covered, but again, what would be a "FAIR" and reasonable offer for Butler?

Until you have a better offer on the table Richardson, a first, and your pick of Waiters, james johnson or olynyk.

People believe if you make the highest offer in an auction, you win. That’s not true.

Even if MIA’s bid is higher than 28 other teams, it still needs to be higher than the valuation of #29 .. the actual seller.

And this may be exactly what we’ve seen. If the highest bid is so low that it becomes worth it for MIN to keep Butler and see what happens, then they decline that offer.
