I don't mind mixing in isolation drives along with the 3point shooting. We can't be a one trick pony.

Hollywood Joe is gonna cook regardless. Ideally, this offense should get us more drive and kick 3s vs. running off multiple screen 3s. Definitely a good thing if our playmakers do their part.

Which is why I would rather Russell be the recipient of those drive and kick passes. He plays such a cleaner game when he doesn't have to run the offense 90% of the time.

^^^in the post game Kenny said that he wanted to win for team morale.

It was good experience for Russell and LeVert. They both made a mixture of big plays and errors that they can learn from in the 4th and overtime.

true that, what i meant is he shouldve keep other players till the end, cause starters already have their place in the team, which is not the case with musa, kurucs and maybe some other players and theres no better chance to give them minutes than in the preseason

There’s 2 more preseason games. In one of them, I hope Kenny sits the starters and let everyone else compete to sort out what will be the 2nd unit for the reg season.
also curious if caroll will retain his 3 role or if it’s someone else’s to take.

They'll get their time. Kurucs has already strung together two solid showings. Musa will get his turn, hopefully this time Spencer Dinwiddie will actually pass him the ball.

im bosnian so there you go

but im happy he landed in brooklyn, i thought brooklyn and atlanta were the two best teams for him, cause both teams are in a rebuild, so i assumed hed get his chance in these teams sooner rather than later

We are rebuilding but that we also have young players who have already put in a lot of sweat equity with this coaching staff. I'm sure Musa and Kurucs will play but I'd temper your expectations mightily if you're expecting/hoping that they'll be significant parts of the rotations, averaging 15mpg.

Unless one or both shows out tremendously, expect a healthy dose of DNPs and garbage time minutes for both of them. I'd only expect an sizeable uptick in minutes in the latter part of the season, if we're out of playoff contention (which is likely).

i dont expect that and i now they will get rookie treatment, unless theyre lottery picks... however i do expect them to play some minutes, not every game, but like you said, some garbage time when game is won or lost

id rather see him (dzanan musa) stay with brooklyn than go to the g league... even if he sits the whole season, he will train with those guys and coaching staff, work on his body too, so first things first, time is working for him
