2018-2019 Heat Season Projection Thread

Might as well get this thread going, all projections must be placed by 6:00 PM Oct 17 to be crowned champion. Closest person to the total regular season wins projection wins. Tie breaker is who is most accurate with any playoff projections.

1) What is the Heat record going to be at the end of the season?

2) Will the Heat make the playoffs? If so, how will the playoffs end for them?

3) What player will show the most improvement this season?

4) What player will have the most disappointing season?

5) Will any Heat players be picked for the all star game? If so, who?

6) What will be the Heat’s best strength?

7) What will be the Heat’s worse weakness?

8) Are the Heat going to make any major moves this season? If so, what moves?

2nd round exit. 4-2 series.

Bam will become a starter.

4) What player will have the most disappointing season?

I want to be wrong, but I think Waiters is not putting in the work necessary to be the player he can be.

5) Will any Heat players be picked for the all star game? If so, who?

Jimmy Butler

6) What will be the Heat’s best strength?

Perimeter defense. The Heat will be top 5 in opp 3 pt %.

7) What will be the Heat’s worse weakness?

Defensive rebounds. Heat will be in the bottom 1/3 of giving up offensive boards.

8) Are the Heat going to make any major moves this season? If so, what moves?

I think Jimmy Butler will be on the team within a month of the season starting, for a lower value than offered in the offseason. The Heat then will make a push near the all star break to acquire another star on a western conference team that is not reaching expectations.

Make the playoffs as the 6th seed. Lose in a game 7 vs Indiana at the damned Fieldhouse.

3) What player will show the most improvement this season?

Bam Adebayo. Expecting him to flash some unique parts to his game this year.

4) What player will have the most disappointing season?

Tyler Johnson. Going to be battling for minutes, and can see him struggling to find a role.

5) Will any Heat players be picked for the all star game? If so, who?

As it currently stands, unlikely. If so, lets back in JRich to make the leap.

6) What will be the Heat’s best strength?

Defense. Expect us to be a Top 5-8 team defensively.

7) What will be the Heat’s worse weakness?

Pace. Still too slow for the modern NBA game.

8) Are the Heat going to make any major moves this season? If so, what moves?

Trade for a disgruntled star. Probably Jimmy, but who knows who else shakes free if it isn't?

7) What will be the Heat’s worse weakness? Not sure this answers the question but ... too many guys not playing up to their salaries.

Results so far:
HFL: 48 Wins second round exit (4-2 series)
Contract: 48 wins second round exit
Wiltside: 45 wins 6th seed, lose to Indy first round in 7 games
HWR: 42 wins 1st round exit
Doctor P: 42 wins No Playoffs
