I’m a Hornets fan but a huge KD fan. If any team he goes to it’ll be the Knicks. His agent/bff/business partner who he blindly follows is a huge Knicks fan and consultant.

I still think he will resign next year to play in the new arena then leave. For one the Knicks don’t have any money next year.

If his decision comes down between us and the Knicks I'm extremely confident he is staying. I just don't see any elite player in their prime wanting to put their future in James Dolan's hands. KD has talked about it in the past how all it starts at the top for any good organization.

All the talk of him leaving is outsiders spreading hope in their team's fan bases ... Odds are heavy he stays in the Bay.

As an outsider, I think KD will stay. His option to go to LA and play alongside LeBron would only diminish his legacy. Going to NYK would effectively remove him from championship contention for the next several years. I don't see a greener pasture than GS.

If he goes to NY and someone like Butler joins, that team is automatically at the absolute worst, the 2nd best team in the East. To me, it still makes far more sense to stay though.

People speculate that he may want to go to Washington, his home town, like Lebron returned to Cleveland, to bring a title and end the long draught there.

But I wouldn't think Washington has cap space? They're paying Wall, Beal and Porter. Wizards have $135 million payroll this year. They have several expiring contracts though so even though Wall will go from $19 million this year to $38 million next year, their overall payroll will drop to $117 million.

How would they fit in a $30 million plus salary into that payroll?

Wall, Beal and Porter are making $92 million next year. They could try to trade Porter and his $27 million salary. He is a career 40% 3-point shooter but even at 25, who wants to pay him $27 million?

Also, again, bad ownership, no hope of winning. KD has experienced good ownership, he's not going to want to go back

I don’t understand this theory. A) the Warriors already won a ring without him, while they were still on the upswing, and who is to say they wouldn’t have won more? They would have been the favorites the year he came here even if didn’t come here. B) he already had a great team in OKC and never won, in other words he already had the chance to show he could lead another team to a chip.

If he leaves to prove that he can win by himself, then he's buying into the claims of the haters the he had to join the Warriors to win.

So he would be undermining the two rings and the two Finals MVPs.

He said last year repeating was very hard. They underperformed in the regular season and they almost didn't make the Finals so he knows he can't take anything for granted.

IF......big IF...the Warriors win it this year, they will have 3 peated.

No team since the old Russell Celtics has a 4 peat. It would be tough for anyone to walk away from the chance to be immortal and pull off a 4 peat.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I've said all along, as long as they win they stay together.

He's not leaving, but if him and Klay left I think Steph might average 40 ppg

He might get triple-teamed every play, too.

My sentiments exactly. Now if for some reason GSW doesnt 3peat then sure, but if KD was to appease the haters he would never have signed in the first place, he has nothing to gain (winning or recognition by leaving after a potential 3peat).

Hes leaving himself room just in case which makes sense for him.

I saw this on the Warriors subreddit.

Sounds like he's gone to me. With his agent being a huge Knicks fan, I think he goes to New York to rehab his image.

I'm just appreciating this season though.

Pretty weird seeing his brother say something like that publicly. Seems like the worst kept secret that this is probably his final year here.

Exactly. He's going to make a decision potentially worth tens of millions of dollars based on who his agent roots for?
