Yeah they have 10k ticket holders but that still doesn’t mean there will be a big draw come January. Instead of the bucks having specials fans will be selling them on stubhub.

I'm very curious if the 10,000 includes all season ticket holders including 10 packs, or if it is truly 10K full season which to me is the seat is taken for the entire year by either full season ticket holders or (2) half seasons.

I believe the 10k is the equivalent number. So 2000 1/2 season = 1000 etc...

It does suck that a potential Brewers game 6 will be at the same time as the home opener. I'll still go to the opener but damn.... Brewers in 4 or 5 please.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I find it a bit embarrasing that the Bucks never have had more than 10k season ticket holders before. Last year, friggin' CD Castellon , a team that plays in the 4th division of Spain had almost 13.000 season tickets in their 16K stadium

What do they play, about 10 games, so about 5 home games?

I speak no Spanish but it looks like Tribuna VIP, which I would assume is the best of the best since it has VIP in it is 340 Euros for what I'm assuming is a new season ticket (I'm assuming nuevas is new). 340 Euros is a little less than $400, so the very best season tickets for CD Castellon are $150 cheaper than the worst season tickets for the Bucks.

25 league + cup games, and the prices begin from ~90$ up to ~350$. The average salary is around 20-25K $$$ over there, and there are maybe 10 much more successfull football teams within 100 miles including continental powerhouses like Valencia and Villareal. It's a 4th division figure, so it means there are ~120 teams playing in higher spanish divisions alone. What would have been the equivalent in USA basketball talent-wise, having the Herd's affiliate team backup squad getting 13K season tickets maybe?

The beers available in the beer garden. I'll probably check it out before the home opener

Americans show up in unexpected numbers for local highschool and college games (especially football), that's probably the equivalent to that Spanish team. And I get it, there's a deeper connection watching local kids and classmates play than random millionaire journeymen who only care about their careers. NBA is more of a product than just a sport, so you need it to be a really good product for people to invest time and money. I think the crowd will grow as the Bucks get better same as it grew as the arena got better.

First night in the building tonight to the T-Wolves game. A couple arena thoughts.

1. Really enjoyed the acoustics. Felt like I was watching these guys play in a carpeted living room. All the people out on the concourses didn't bother me at all. Hard to explain but sounds at the BC felt like metal buckets crashing on concrete all night. This was just much more pleasant.

2. The food and drink are fantastic. But crazy high prices. $12 for a beer.

3. Sat in the lower bowl but went to the upper deck to check it out. At the top row you're as high up as the BC.

4. At the BC the media guys like Woelfel, Nehm, Doug Russell, etc. all had those prime seats right behind the visitors bench or baseline risers. From what I could tell, they put all those dudes up in their own press box area in the corner, a looooong way from the court if I was seeing them in the right spot (I could be wrong). It would appear that the press/web media will get a better view of the game on TV than from where they are sitting.

5. Squad 6. Hate to say it since some of you guys are in it, but I'm not sure they're needed as much anymore. They are located lower bowl endzone but are quite a ways high off the court. Their chanting gets drowned out by crowd cheers during good plays, which is how it should be. Personally I think the BC crowd's got this now.

Agreed about Squad 6. No longer needed (if they ever were). I heard from a few STHs that were originally seated near the group and asked to be moved because they didn’t want listen to their chants all season long.

Tonight the lower bowl appeared only 60% full but the noise can channel now and hit the court much better. Thus even a small crowd can get things loud in there.

With S6 location so far away, at times it felt like I was watching one of my kids high school volleyball games and S6 was the other game going on at the neighboring court. It was more a distraction.

I think I'd keep them around but not require them to constantly cheer. Have them take longer breaks and be utilized only when needed.

^^^^Appreciate the confirmation Twirl. Putting the press pass media guys way back there (and they are a long way from the court) seems somewhat fitting because they’ve gotten those great BC seats for so many years and done so little real reporting from them.

It always seemed like they were far more interested in the free sodas at the press room and playing on their phones during the game in eras when there were all sorts of story angles to investigate and write about.

That said, for the legit reporter, being back up there is a loss as it relates to coverage. You learn a lot about team dynamics by sitting near the opponents bench during a game. You also see a much different game from the floor.

I agree about squad 6 needing to go. Was disappointed that they were still there when I heard them on TV. Most of the time, I have no clue what they're chanting. I'm sorry to anyone who's a part of squad 6. Just my opinion.

Has the fluid ticketing worked for anybody yet? I was able to return tickets one night last week but now nothing. I do see my credit amount though.

It wasn’t working for me last week at all, so I had to call to exchange mine for credits. I can’t see the credits though either still. When I called they said they were still working out some bugs on it but assured me the whole fluid ticket thing would be up & running by opening night.

Where do other teams reporters sit?
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Same place. Why do you think they have a different spot?
