Just realised the pitcher spot is up this inning. Hader up makes more sense now.

Why does Gio have to throw 4+ innings?

Why does Hader have to be saved for the 6th-7th inning or later? Use him to mow down a tough section of lefties in the lineup.

Think about the game this way (trying not to be an analytics nerd/**** but it's tough to not come off that way). We've got an outside the box GM. May not work, but it's based on some good data.

I was surprised Hader was up so early. The plan should have been to get Woody through the 5th if he could to preserve the pen. Obviously don't have to worry about his turn coming up. Let him hit. Save the pinch hitter too.

I haven't seen much of Kershaw this year. He's still incredible because of his offspeed stuff but I didn't realize how much he's lost off his fastball velocity. That thing used to be mid 90's.

I'm gonna say this again.

I would LOVE for our bullpen to be "gassed" by game 5. That means we've been tied or winning in the first 3 games. It would be a good problem to have.
