Were you born before or after they lost 12 in a row?

Tomorrow you can go Miley 2-3, Peralta 2-3, and Burnes 2-3. Use anyone but Hader to get the other outs.

The near collapse is about as worst case as you can get for the strategy we employed while still winning, but there’s a decent path to winning it with our good bullpen still.

If we happen to get blown out or somehow get up like 9-0 early then the entire bullpen is reset for game 3 other than the one mop up guy like Guerra.

We’ll see how it goes but tomorrow is Miley forcing the righty lineup and then Peralta to mow through them/make them switch. Wonder if Roberts will start a more neutral lineup.

6=5 or 12-0 who cares. The Dodgers can "feel good" about getting close but they get a loss either way. Sometimes it's more demoralizing to come back and fall short.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Cedeno should be the mop up guy when the team is waving the white flag (and then not named to the WS roster if they make it). Another 3 WHIP to continue his stellar run. Started the trouble.

Guerra has engendered a lot more faith than this. We're talking a guy who hasn't allowed a run his last 5 outings, and a WHIP of 0.5, pounding the strike zone. That, and the fact he was awesome early in the season before the minor injury he sustained, are why he'd be a good option for the situation Cedeno came in for tonight.

I'm not sure how George Webb is corporately owned/managed these days compared to back in the day, but it seems like they almost would have preferred the team come up short. This free burger day should totally be tomorrow. Sort of bush league the way they've limited it to mid-day during a weekday.

And then they put the thing six days out so they can really milk the PR for almost a week.

I don’t want to incite our pissing match again but if Arcia wasn’t afraid of trying to turn 2 with their weird shift they had employed, Cedeno would’ve had a double play instead of letting 1 guy on while getting 1 out.

As someone who doesn't follow baseball, I'm suprised CC didn't roll with the hot hand Woodruff for at least another inning. Thought he had a few K's in a row plus the homer.

He did pinch hit for him with Santana which led to two runs. It's a tough decision because he's not hitting a homer again and it's probably like a 90% chance he's making an out and slightly less that the out won't produce a run.

Every pitch Cedeno throws looks exactly the same and every pitch looks to be 80 mph

LOL at people waiting in line 4 hours for a $1 burger

Woops, I thought it was tomorrow. It actually isn't during a Brewers game. But you're right, the workday scheduling is intentional.

Not that it matters to me. I'm going to be thousands of miles away from the nearest Webbs next Thursday.

To be fair, it takes a while to bake all the hamburger buns they're going to need. Even if a few days away and for only four hours, it's a good thing for the city, since even those of us who grew up in the 1950s remember the offer and how it kind of made your mind wander to an improbable winning streak someday. Not that it was all that generous even then, when you could get 7 George Webb burgers in a bag for 98 cents.

Reading the gamer and thinking about last night, I still can't believe Woodruff hit that home run. Everything about it, putting him in there, then letting him hit, flew in the face of baseball logic. And he went yaya. I mean, WTF?!?
