21-8-4-2 for TBJR on 9 shots. not bad.

Re: Wiz vs. Long Lions 10/12/18
Yay, the preseason is over. The only thing I took from this game is that ball movement and passing was crisp. Randle wasn't bad though it really doesn't matter who they keep for the 15th guy or whatever the last spot is. If Troy Brown could ever find a shot, you'll see less of Oubre. Or they could trade him by the deadline and try to get something useful for him. Right now, neither can shoot from 3.
But we saw an Oubre right-handed dunk so that's progress.

Re: Wiz vs. Long Lions 10/12/18
This was more scrimmage than game, but even still...it's hard not to be impressed with Robinson. He wasn't much of a prospect coming out of school because he was a 190 lb PF. He's still farily thin, but he's a lot stronger than he used to be , and the NBA has gotten smaller. I'd kinda like to see how he'd do with the starting unit playing opposite Otto. Compare him to Oubre... Is Oubre really a better fit for the Wiz than Robinson? Robinson's 3ball looks a lot smoother than Oubre's. Oubre's got ridiculous length, but I think Robinson gets up a little higher with his combo of length and leaping.

Robinson's legs still look like sticks. But he's definitely a better athlete than Kelly in terms of vertical leap. I just don't see anything special in Robinson other than vertical leap. Hell, if Oubre is not here next season, you can keep Robinson but he can't play the 3. He has no handle, not much lateral quickness, not much of a shot. He can play some 4 I guess if you need a backup for whomever the 4 is next season (some rookie or vet like Green). He thrives in transition but when the game slows down and become a halfcourt contest, he's missing in action. I was actually impressed with Lavoy Allen. His 3-point shot looked decent and he rebounded well with that big body against Speights. I guess he has no shot making the team and he's more of an old school big but I wouldn't mind keeping around as insurance if some big gets hurt.

Oubre is almost starting to concern me. If his shot isn't going in, i'm not sure what he can do.
Robinson most likely won't play a big factor in the team anyways because he is on a 2-way contract and will see most of his time in the gleauge. Correct me if I am wrong, but can 2-way players only spend 45 days with their affiliated team? I still think Robinson is a nice player but not a better overall player than Oubre.

Regardless of whether you label him strictly a 4 or strictly a 3, he can play with Otto, because Otto can play either the 3 or 4. I think you're under-selling his jump shot, but I haven't seen enough of him to be sure.

Re: Wiz vs. Long Lions 10/12/18
Robinson is a dunker and nothing else. Of course I wish him all the best and hopefully he proves me wrong!
It was so terrible to see the first two possessions being Morris mid-range jumpers that he bricked.
Well, nice to see bunch of guys getting minutes since this wasn't that competitive game at all. I'm really curious how things work against the Heat!

This. Robinson may be comparable to Oubre in vertical leap, but Oubre is way better laterally, has much better coordination, and can actually handle the ball.

Re: Wiz vs. Long Lions 10/12/18
Troy Brown's competition probably isn't Oubre who we are trying to groom into a 3 and D player, but Satoransky who is also a playmaker with decent defense. Now, if all three could get minutes at the expense of Austin Rivers, that would be nice.

A bit disappointed Robinson didn't get a chance to play much during preseason, felt like he earned a chance to show what he's got against some better competition.
