We'll take the win - realizing we got help from 3 big dropped catches, a ridiculous rule causing the personal foul, and Rogers being nowhere near 100%. Skins must have the worst 2nd half offense in the NFL, so far. That's gotta make you wonder about the coaching - particularly predictable play-calling.

He completely shuts the playbook down when they're up. Jay is a good play caller but he doesn't have that killer instinct to pour it on to teams.

He goes into the prevent offense. That thinking worked in the 1900's, Doc Walker, I'm looking at you.

That's why I always respected that a-hole in New England. He would leave Brady in the fourth with a 30 point lead and keep trying to run the score. That's what an alpha coach does to empower his team. Gruden is a complete pansy and withers in the second half.

Our D-linemen made all 3 sacks. The biggest play I saw by our LBers was Anderson blocking on a Peterson TD run. I thought our best defensive player was our 3rd CB - Moreau - who played the run like a strong safety and held his own in coverage.

Moreau was good. And three sacks by the interior of the D line is very good.

I wouldn’t call our defense elite... but it’s good, so far.

If we can avoid the injury bug, we’ll continue to do the two most important things - stuff the run and generate pressure on the QB.

And just one more thing to add that they have to do that's related to those things - stop teams on 3rd downs. They were sooooo bad at that last season. Those 2 studs on the DLine from Alabama are going to make a big difference there.

Allen is becoming one of the elite defensive players in the game, imo. Since he was drafted, the defense with him vs without him has been night and day. And Ioannidis is a completely different player with Allen in the game. It looks like Payne is a great complement as a stud against the run who is showing he can rush the passer when the offense looks away from him. That Ioannidis sack - where he really made the O'lineman run into the QB - was sick.

Big point, chance for some separation on a weekend where all the NFC East teams **** the bed, but let's not kid ourselves, we all know how this is going to turn out.

Monday night, statement game, egg on face.

Skins must have the worst MNF record in the NFL. And I'm guessing NO in the Brees era has one of the best. This is a great test for the Skins defense, but obviously Skins' offense is going to have to do a reasonable job of keeping NO's offense off the field, and we can't let them get off to a big start. Gotta keep the Skins D fresh. NO destroys tired defenses. Kerrigan and Preston Smith have to be play-makers.

This should probably go in the Terps thread... but D.J. Moore sure looked like a Slurs fan today.

Bruce Allen is the Ernest Grunfeld of the NFL.

This Alex Smith trade, just awful, a 3rd round pick and Fuller for that turd is a true grunfeldian blunder.

I was a Gruden guy, but every game this team does basically nothing in the 2nd half. We still won the game, but Carolina should not have been allowed to stay in the game. How is Smith not being used more as a rollout QB than a pocket QB. Rolling out is what makes him a better than average QB. Keeping him in the pocket wastes his athletic ability, and we don't get plays downfield.

Defense was very good today.

Any win against the Pokes is a good one.

A winsawinsawin.

Can we give the Skins a pass on their lack of a passing game - since most of their receivers (I'm including Thompson) are injured? Trey Quinn may become the most relevant Mr. Irrelevant ever if he ever gets healthy. But Alex, Why did you run out of bounds? Stop playing like a rookie. Speaking of needing receivers, the Cowboys have even bigger problems at WR than the Skins.

It just shows you that even Jerruh Jones reads this board. If I hadsn't said anything, maybe the Skins would have beaten the Cowboys... for Amari Cooper.

Totally. If Amari becomes Drew Pearson, it’s all on you Ruz.
