It really feels like J Collins has been deemed the face of the franchise "off the court".

I like THAT!

i concur.
He has a confidence and maturity about him that belies his youth.
It'll be interesting to see which players are in the ribbon of the Hawks Twitter Page when the season starts - still has Baze, Collins, Bembry and Prince.

Disney Darkens Princess Tiana In 'Wreck-It Ralph' Sequel After Complaints

Disney went back to the drawing board after complaints that the skin tone of the black Disney princess Tiana had been lightened in teasers for “Ralph Breaks The Internet.”

Following the outcry, the studio darkened her skin and widened her nose so she looks more like the animated character appeared in 2009′s “The Princess and the Frog,” The Wall Street Journal reported last week.

Damn. That's rough. Can we just punt on the season and put Ryan, Julio and Ridley in bubble wrap until next September?

Use this season to prepare for next season. The backups just aren't as good as the starters, which in turn affects who now plays on special teams.

Question - why can't Matt and Julio connect on TDs. Ridley seems to be doing OK.
In 3 games Ridley already has more TDs (4) than Julio had ALL of last season(3). Yeah, I know double coverage etc on Julio, but still.

Seems like a combination of bad offensive coaching and strong defensive schemes.

Teams will continue to sell out to stop Julio. Which should leave plenty og opportunities for the other wideouts.

(I'd like to see us get a stud TE to work midrange with Julio and Ridley dominate the long game.)

I remember this day well. It was the album that made Jay-Z a star. And the greatest Outkast they ever made...before they went commercial.

Was September 29, 1998, the Greatest Rap Album Release Day Ever?

Twenty years ago, Jay-Z, OutKast, Black Star, A Tribe Called Quest, and Brand Nubian dropped new LPs on the same date. Has there ever been another release day as fruitful?

September 29, 1998, might as well have been Christmas Day for rap fans. On that fateful Tuesday, record stores stocked their shelves with no fewer than five must-cop hip-hop releases—two soon-to-be classics (Jay-Z’s Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life and OutKast’s Aquemini), a breakthrough debut (Black Star’s Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star), and two albums from legendary groups (A Tribe Called Quest’s The Love Movement and Brand Nubian’s Foundation). Twenty years later, it is still remembered as the greatest rap album release day ever.

But was it?

^I'm trying to give a pass because of age...but damn, the kids in this family are consistently on the wrong side of these types of things.

It'll be nearly impossible for any team to exercise a 1st round pick on an undisciplined teen who doesn't pass, defend or play winning basketball.

The way things are going, I imagine he'll go undrafted, too. Just too much baggage at this point. With very little upside.

Dominique's greatest failure?

Or the greatest sports movie moment in history?

Is publicist for Kanye West the worst job in show business?

The Old Kanye Was a Rebellious Virtuoso. The New Kanye Is a Hack

A weak single. A weird ‘SNL’ performance. A new album with little momentum. How did Kanye fall so far so fast?

Image

This weekend, Adam Driver hosted the Saturday Night Live season premiere, featuring musical guest Kanye West, whom many fans expected to release new music by the end of the night.

West and Lil Pump performed their latest hit, “I Love It,” a single that has unexpectedly salvaged West’s commercial fortunes in the wake of the disastrous rollout for his most recent solo album, Ye, released only four months ago.

Following SNL’s on-air sign-off, West sung and spoke about partisan politics, race relations, and Trump. “If I was concerned about racism, I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago,” West said. Rachel Dratch, standing behind West, rolled her eyes. The audience booed.

Following his SNL speech, West sent a few tweets advocating for the repeal of the U.S. Constitution’s 13th Amendment, which prohibits slavery. The Washington Post deduced West’s support for revising the 13th Amendment to also prohibit prison labor.

West has self-consciously made it impossible for much of his earlier fan base to root for him these days. His friends have disavowed him, his celebrity peers now criticize him, and his longtime fans have begun to flee. In the wake of this exodus, West’s fandom has transformed to prominently include reactionary grifters, racist trolls, and the president himself.

His right-wing admirers have made him into a stooge. West’s indifference to racism, among national agonies, has rendered him difficult to watch and impossible to root for, even after several years of flattering his ignorance in other, more forgivable forms and contexts. In November, there’s new music—new Kanye. Unfortunately, the performance is getting old.

Isn't he Irish? I don't think anyone who didn't grow up in the US knows how to throw a football.

But does that disqualify us from making fun of him for it?

Geez, macd. The season starts tomorrow. McGregor just threw you a perfect comedic alley-oop and you fumbled it off your face out of bounds. Have you been working on your game at all in the offseason?
