Ha. Completely forgot about the Packers until a highlight popped up after the Brewers recap on my phone this morning.

This team is really frustrating to watch right now. I'm glad I get a week off.

A mediocre team with a soon-to-be 35 yr old qb who eats up the salary cap. Nice.

Had fun at the game last night, but man this team is a chore to sit through most of the time.

I thought the opening Packers drive was a glimpse of what could be with optimal Aaron Jones. The 49ers couldn't overplay anything, and the Packers executed on that for big chunks.

Yes, Jones made mistakes on subsequent drives. However, it seems the correct call would be to allow Jones to play through mistakes so that he can more quickly reach his high potential.

Brice gets to play through his mistakes, and he has no potential. So why not Jones?

Brice is a dumpster fire. Even if Pettine believes that Jones is still too raw, at what point do you just throw Whitehead back there?

I think Josh Jones most likely sucks too (great second round pick, Ted), but he at least had some flashes early in the season last year. Brice has offered absolutely nothing whenever he's on the field, besides a guy that gets burned on the deep pass and someone that easily over-pursues on running plays.

Jones played the same as Brice. Would come up and hit people in the box, but looked lost in coverage.

Here are my takeaways from week 6:
1) We started off the game with a nice mix of running and bootleg play action passes. We had some huge plays off play action. Once the 9ers decided to keep their edge rushers running wide outside to stop the bootleg, we continued doing it with no success and our offense fell apart. We scrapped the run/play action game, and moved strictly to spread offense out of shotgun. I don't understand why we went away from the run game though? If the edge rushers are predictably rushing to the outside to stop the bootleg, there should have been huge holes in the run game.

If you look back on the 2011 season when Rodgers broke the passer rating record, almost all of our big plays came from play action. It's time to get back to a balanced rushing attack so our offense isn't so predictable. In other words, I would prefer Rodgers throws less if it means he's getting a higher yardage per pass attempt.

2) Pettine needs to let his corners shadow the receivers across the formation to match up. Under no circumstances should Tramon be matched up against Marquise Goodwin, who runs a 4.27 40. Tramon is great at what he does, but to expect him to hang with Goodwin's speed is crazy. Kevin King is our most athletic healthy corner, he should have been lined up across from Goodwin the entire game.

3) How many more times are we going to let Brice get beat deep before we make a change? It seems like it happens at least once a game.

4) Our rookie receivers look goooooood. Bye bye Cobb.
