There's no trade Thread so I guess this should go here, not related to the OP, but.

Would you take back Morris for Stanley Johnson? Who is your current GM and how important is SJ for your team going forward?

With Leuer out of the picture for a bit, what about taking Morris into the Boban exception at the deadline

Taking back any significant salary in a trade is an obvious no-go given our luxury tax situation.

We're 100K under the tax line.

Also it's come out that Mook was pretty disconnected from the team when he was here, went into shutdown mode and didn't trust anybody after PHX screwed him over and he was away from his brother for basically the first time in his life.

The Pistons aren’t going to “win” in any trade. Thus it’s pointless.

So.... Ish+SJ+Ellenson are all basically expirings. We could lose them for nothing(Ish) or have to shell out big bucks to keep(SJ).
They add up to $12million which is the same amount of cash that Courtney Lee makes for this year and next year. He's a great defender and 3pt shooter.
I like Galloway as our backup PG with Blake being our main ballhandler with the 2nd unit. This gives us shooters everywhere!
PG-RJ LG
SG-Lee Luke
SF-Bullock GR3
PF-Blake Leuer
C-AD Blake Zaza

Then RJ+Lee+LG+Leuer(and Josh Smith lol) all expire at the same time if we want to reset. Only players on the books would be Andre, Blake and Luke

Casey took any pg duties away from Galloway this off-season. Langston stopped working on that aspect - he's a 2/3 under Casey's system.

Yeah. Langston was really terrible when they tried to see what he could do at point and that experiment stopped pretty quickly even last year. I would not be happy if he had to take them again. Opposing defenses would be though :)

I'm not saying we shouldn't try to get something for the expirings. But we would have a huge hole at backup / starting PG (assuming Reggie breaks himself again). I think at that point I'd rather see Kennard take a shot at it.

Ya, I just meant PG in theory. Blake would be the actual PG

I agree Blake would be the primary facilitator(de facto PG), but ugh I'd hate Galloway at the 3 more than I would him at the 1.

If possible, I'd like to see the Pistons trade for Rozier.
