Same on Mirotic but I'm not nearly as bullish on Payton. Do like Randle though.

And Melo seems like an NBA Jam guy to me.

houston media and the team put out a lot on their coaching strategy for replacing him including extensive bio on his replacement. i wish the thunder were this transparent, because i think losing adrian griffin could have a similar effect.

Watching the Rox get dominated is always good.
Forgot how many pieces Pels got now. Love Randles game. Payton is a solid backup pg when you have a big like AD to work with.

It is a shame the Pels blew their assets on Cousins. Imagine if they had gotten Butler or PG to go next to AD with Jrue and that supporting cast.

The Mavs are surprisingly bad at using screens off the ball, they don't squeeze down tight enough and then when they pop out they're so flat that there's very little passing Lane.

DSJ's footwork is awful, on pull ups he basically looks like he's just jumping from wherever he's at when the urge hits him with no attempt At getting on balance. Missed the rim completely on at least two, maybe three. I'm really not sold on him, think he was overrated last year due to volume on a bad team.

It's fun to get the kicks in, but the reality is Paul and harden were awful and that's what's going to really decide how successful Houston is with Melo on the court. Of course they'll be bad defensively, but that will even out against second units.

Half his shots were threes, although there was some unnecessary massaging on the one that went in. I think in terms of how he played it actually was fairly encouraging if you're Houston, obviously the results were not.

Agree, just taking my shots in this thread while I can. I've said a bunch I think he'll be better there, but in the playoffs played off the court. It is funny to me they gave up more than any game last year though.

Also Capela was even bad.

Also, Houston makes us look deep. Their best bench player is a 6moy but after that you're looking at Melo and mcw as the only guys who are likely to be rotation caliber.

I think Capela is primed for a 'down' year. Similar to Adams '16-17 where you expect a leap to next level and he probably isn't ready to provide more yet.

He's the guy at the rec center that I would constantly swear isn't that good while he torches everyone in the gym. There are like ten guys in the gym that should be better than him but he keeps outplaying them all.

He's better than Irving and I won't be convinced otherwise.
