It was a block and called a foul. Nice block though. Giannis needs to hit the weights I guess because he got stuffed.

Meanwhile Brad still roots for the softer ladies in Alice and Wendy... it’s not a coincidence, there’s a method to his madness lol

Nah. Wendell went up, got all ball...and the refs bailed out Giannis so he wouldn't be embarrassed.

(In my dreams, a Collins-Carter frontcourt is the best in the East for a decade.) :lift:

Would Wendell Carter Jr. be picked higher if the NBA Draft was today?

Image

According to Bleacher Report, Wendell Carter Jr. would be taken fourth overall by the Memphis Grizzlies if the NBA were to redraft this year’s class based off of Summer League performances.

It may sound like a crazy concept (and it is), but Carter Jr. averaged the second most points, 14.6, through five July games in Las Vegas. He also averaged 9.4 rebounds and shot 55 percent from the field while averaging 28.8 minutes in his glamorous first-stint with Chicago. Those numbers are even more striking if you consider Carter Jr.’s 42.9 percent shooting from behind the three-point line.

Carter Jr., the real seventh overall pick of this year’s NBA Draft, looked like the all-around player the Bulls were hoping to get this offseason. He made his blocking abilities as a center known from the moment he stepped on the court in Summer League.

Lets see how JJJ does. He's got even more upside it looks like.

I don't see a full Towns comp either as he had more range to the effect of I think holding his high school's made 3 point record but Ayton certainly has a nice shooting stroke already to build on. I think Ayton and Collins mix well as they are both fluid athletes with a high level of skill, just imagine a young Mcdyess and Robinson together.

Ayton should be an elite defender in college, safe to say on the same level as Loren Woods. As for being an elite defender in the NBA, who knows if he could ever be on the same level as KG, Anthony Davis, or Hakeem. At worst case i'm comfortable to predict that Ayton could be a defensive player on the same level as Bosh or Webber in the NBA.

On the offensive end though, Ayton looks amazing. He looks just like KG in high school, with his quickness, control, balance, athleticism and awareness. It's not really fair of me to say this, and compare him to an all time great like Hakeems, but watching Ayton on the offensive end and his smoothness, just reminds me of Hakeems' smoothness.

Wow! Ayton is a beast! and ontop of that he has a motor, he reminds me of Rodman with his hustle. I've called him Hakeem for over a year now. Lets see what his block numbers are at the end of his rookie year.

I clearly didn't give this kid enough attention throughout the draft process.

Kid was solid in pre-season...looks like Nets may have hit silver with another mediocre wing player. Not bad value for a 2nd round draftee.

I love Luka, Khyri Thomas, Lonnie Walker IV and Wendell from this draft.

Ayton is the most talented. Miles Bridges and Luka are the most polished.

All of our hopes and dreams are now placed firmly on the shoulders of Young Trae.

Here's hoping the 2018 draft goes down as one of the best in recent memory...and that we end up with the #1, #6 and #11 picks in next summer's draft.

I'm very low on Bamba, but besides Ayton, Bamba had the best rookie debut among all the rookies. 13/7, 2 blocks and very good shooting.
