Best Revenge Game in recent memory? (Jonas Jerebko!)

Post#1 » by DeathLineup » Sat Oct 20, 2018 3:33 pm

Jazz waived Jerebko this offseason. Last night at Utah, Jerebko beat the buzzer with a game-winning tip-in against his former team. And of course he didn't forget to flex in front of their bench after it.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Forward Jonas Jerebko plans to sign a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors assuming he clears waivers, league sources told ESPN.

The Utah Jazz waived Jerebko on Saturday, and he will become a free agent on Monday if no team claims him and guarantees his $4.2 million salary for the 2018-19 season.

He screwed my beloved Jazz with that basket but I can't help but being happy for him.

If it was a situation where he legit wanted to stay and they didn’t want him back (not just his agent trying to hold out for too much and him signing for a similar amount somewhere else cause the holdout didn’t work), then yeah - that was good revenge for him. Served immediately too.

Why didnt the Jazz want to keep him? He shot above 40% from 3 last season.

I really don't know. He was a cheap option too.

Jazz are so deep that they had to cut someone, this year they preferred Diang, for me a better player with more potential.
As Montoya said, it didn't hurt as much as it was him the guy that made the clutch basket, he deserved it, I'm happy for him, and the way gsw players celebrated, they were really happy for Jonas too.
What a game last night! Love it!

The Jazz had a team option on Jerebko for this year, which they declined, so your qualifications for a good revenge certainly apply here.

Earlier in the game. Jimmy Butler won’t even do this with his current teammates. Dope moment.

Yeah. Gobert clearly pushed him too for that rebound. Should have been an and-1.

Jerebko's best revenge was when he broke up with his ex and married Johanna Lundback...

He actually has some potential to be a rotation guy for us. He's like a an old-ish Boris Diaw with a narrower derrière.

Whoa. That’s indeed a sweet Revenge Game.

First time back in Boston, set a career high and get that big W in a close game.
