Murray's absence is pretty evident. I can't say I watched every single one of your guys' games, but I felt at times he was your best defender.

As a Raptors fan I'm a bit dismayed with Poeltl's lack of playing time, even if I think he should be playing PF. He could really offer a huge boost if he was just allowed to roam around instead of just being regulated to commanding space inside. It's fine offensively, but defensively I think his strengths lies in rotating all over the place and coming from the weak side for blocks.

Poodle's not that good honestly. Giving him more playing time might help his confidence but it won't change the fact that he's an awful NBA center right now. He's probably among the worst bigs I've ever seen play for the Spurs alongside Joffrey Lauvergne, Jeff Ayres, and Ian Mahinmi. As far I know, Duncan's working with him in practices but it's gonna be a while before he's even close to ready to contribute. Even then, some guys just don't have the required bball iq to ever become successful(which I fear is Poodle's issue)

His basketball IQ is fine. He's just not fit to be a center.

He has all the tools(physically) to be another Splitter - he just doesn't have the skills or IQ. Guys like Oberto and Splitter were never as impressive physically as Mahinmi or Jakob but they're much smarter players. No excuse for a third year player to look this out of sorts.

Bro wtf are you even talking about? Jakob is a smart player and has a good IQ. Let me guess. You have watched a maximum of three games, where Jakob played in. He is young player, give him time. Its not that easy to come to a new organisation and play to way you did with your former team. He has to settle in, but that process requires more time.

By the way. He isnt soft either. Watch his posters from last Season. ;)

My take after 2 games:

1. We suck defensively. Big time.

2. DeMar is amazing. Such a gifted scorer, which everyone expected. But a GREAT passer. He should have at least double the assist total he has now, if only our guys could hit shots. And not that bad defensively. Very impressed overall. He's been a joy to watch.

3. Poeltl is garbage. Borderline unplayable.

4. We scored 108 points, which if this were 2005 would equate to a 25 point win. Not in 2018 apparently.

5. Bryn Forbes is nice.

I'm not going to take too much away from that game. Yeah we looked bad but road games at Portland aren't always the best experience. Its a tough place to play and a lot of good teams look really bad there. Especially if the Blazers are hitting shots like last night.

We did suck defensively but like I said, they were hitting some shots that made it impossible to play well defensively.

DeRozan is as advertised. I enjoy watching him play on both ends. The more comfortable he gets, they better he will be.

I wouldn't write off Poeltl soo quickly. I also expected a little more from him but lets give him 25-30 games to see where he is.

Again we are stuck relying too much on Patty Mills. If Jeff Teague looked like an all star against Mills, what did we think was going to happen when he had to guard Lillard??

Forbes is doing ok. Much better than I thought he would but lets give him some time also and see if he is up to the task.

Bright spot from this game: DeRozan

Glad to see that.

Defensively, have to be better and believe even with all the personnel loss, can be. Getting White back will help, and was missed tonight.

Draft(or trade, but not likely) priority?: A long, smart, agile defender committed at forward. Get 1 or 2 of the best prospects available.

Would honestly really like to see trade Mills or Forbes for someone like Stanley Johnson and filler. Spurs have been interested in the past, and would be a NICE reclamation project to mold him into the defensive wing ace this team needs. His shot has gotten better the last two years, as well as his handle. A lighter, more athletic, less offensively-coordinated Ron Artest is who he reminds me of.

Forbes stepped up pretty well, and efficient.
