What could we get for Drummond?

Post#1 » by AnnArborpiston » Sun Oct 21, 2018 2:41 am

I think the NBA scout was right about Drummond not drawing enough attention away from Blake. They were triple teaming him in the post.

What would Drummond get us back to support Blake?

Drummond is just a bitch and thinks he's a Joel Embiid type when he's really a Tyson Chandler type. Deep down he's upset about the keys being given to Blake. If he accepted his role and played hard we'd be fine.

I would take a good wing but that’s probably not happening.

The nba scout? How about anyone who's ever watched him play. (Objectively). Why would any defense worry about guarding him?

Im not looking to trade him right now, dude is too good at rebounding. Yeah he does some questionable things on offense and his rim protecting could be better but even at his worst hes getting clutch putbacks and double doubles in his sleep.

the most obvious and realistic move would be for CJ McCollum.

Dre/Stanley/leuer

cj/nurkic (once available for trade) i believe he can't be traded right now because he just signed

Drummond is a known jerk around town, plays video games all day. Now he’s jacking up threes trying to be something he’s not. Too much 2k.

Doubt the Blazers do that but that’s one I would be on board for

Agreed.
Nurkic brings some shot blocking skills and CJ has been one of my favorite scoring guards in the league and will be our elite #1 option on the perimeter right away (which we have been lacking since Rip's prime years).

Drummond goes 20/20 and people praise him. He has an off night due to foul trouble, threads like this pop up from haters. An off night for Drummond is still better than half the starting centers in the league.

FYI. Drummond is going nowhere at all, so go back to playing NBA2K or deal with it.

It’s all so predictable.

The next night Blake goes 0-for-5 from three we’ll be seeing “will anyone take Blake?” threads popping up again.

I like Drummond, and think he is an exceptional talent. I just don't think he and Blake are that good of a fit next to each other. When Blake goes ISO other teams can back off Drummond and double Blake with little hesitation.

Since Drummond is so good, I figured, we might be able to get a great piece in return for him, one that is a better fit along side Griffin.

Hard to say what we would get. Majority of offers would probably be underwhelming - ex. 1st rounder + lesser players to match salary. There might be 1 or 2 teams willing to offer 'fair value' and offer up something like 2 first rounders + a decent prospect + filler.

Centers don't have much value in todays league, so CJ Mc Collum is not a realistic option.

We could get a lesser player. Why would we do that? Drummond is not perfect but he is good, him and Blake are fine together.

I don't think Front Office will ever trade away Drummond. He is the face of the Franchise. Not a chance. Zero. Nil. stick to NBA2k

I think Griffin will be seen as "the franchise" now and Dre is much less secure here than he was before Griff. Do I see Dre traded during this season - nope. Barring him requesting one anyways and why would he do that - Casey is the only coach who would let his shoot three pointers.
